Clearing Philippine immigration is probably the most nerve-racking part of an international trip, especially for first timers. You can’t consider your trip a go-go if you haven’t passed through immigration. Why? It’s because anything can happen in the immigration counter. Even though the ratio of people being offloaded compared to those allowed to pass is very small, it still happens. It can happen to anyone, even to frequent flyers.
These immigration officers only want to assure a few things. First, you can afford to travel to your destination of choice. Second, your documents are valid & are correct (also to save you from all the hassle in immigration of your destination). Last & probably the most important reason is that you will come back to the Philippines after your trip. There are a number of Filipinos who go to a certain places like Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong & the likes to look for a job & apply their working visa there. This is primarily the reason why immigration officers are a bit strict in screening people going out of the country.
Here’s the thing – you can’t choose the immigration officer where you’ll line up. You also won’t have an idea on how lenient or how strict will he / she be during your turn. Worry not, I am here to help you. No matter how strict the immigration officer is, there will always be means on how to get away with it.
Let me give you 5 tips on how you can easily pass through Philippine immigration.
Disclaimer: These tips are only for solo travelers or those travelling with friends for leisure / tourism. There might be other requirements for people travelling under a sponsored scheme, those travelling with minors & those travelling abroad for work.
Have your passport, immigration form & boarding pass ready
Your passport, boarding pass & accomplished immigration form are the 3 main requirements for you to pass immigration. Your passport should not expire in the next 6 months (people from the check-in counters also check this) & should contain a valid visa if your destination requires one. Make sure all information written in the immigration form are all correct & valid.
Present additional travel documents
If the mentioned 3 things are not enough, the immigration officer will now ask for additional travel documents to ensure your return. These documents include round-trip air tickets & hotel accommodation bookings. You don’t need to know all the details of your flights & hotel / hostel but make sure to have an idea about your return flight date & at the very least the name of your hotel / hostel.
Bring IDs & additional documents
The immigration officer needs to know that you are financially capable of travelling. Normally they ask where you work, what your position is in your company & how long have you been working for the company. Do not forget your company ID. Immigration officers ask for this after your plane ticket & hotel bookings. Additional documents that can help are income tax return form, HMO ID, certificate of employment or student ID, credit cards & original / photocopy of bank passbook or bank certificate.
Answer questions politely & direct to the point
Rule: One question, one answer. Don’t elaborate. Immigration officers are trained to screen people. They also know when people are telling the truth or are lying. If the officer asks you where you’re going & for how long, just answer with your destination & number of days. They don’t need to know what you’ll do there, where you’ll go per day & what you’ll buy, unless they ask for those details. It will also help if you have an idea on the major tourist landmarks of your destination.
Relax, smile & be confident
As mentioned earlier, immigration officers are taught to profile travellers. Any sign of nervousness in your body language would lead them to asking more questions. The more you get nervous means the more it shows you are hiding something. Further questions are asked to let you slip up your true intention of travelling. If there is nothing to hide, just relax, sport your best smile & be confident.
The ultimate goal is to give an impression to the immigration officer that you will come back to the Philippines after your trip. Note that all immigration officers are different – sometimes you easily pass through because of pure luck, but most of the time, it’s how you project yourself in front of Mr. or Ms. Immigration officer.
Do you have any good or bad experiences with the immigration officers here in the Philippines or abroad? How did you handle these situations or perhaps how did you deal with all the questions & interrogations (sorry for the word) asked? Do you want to ask something before you jet off for your international trip?

Don’t have your tickets yet? I’ve shared my practices on how I book tickets for as low as ₱1,800+ to & from Bangkok & ₱2,100+ to & from Japan. Head over to this post (and this post too) to know more.
Thank you for reading. Have a great day! 😊
This is my second time going to macau but im scared because I used my uv at the first time when Im in macau .. im scared for more questions at my 2nd travel what should I do.
Hi, sorry what’s uv? As long as you tell them the truth, you’ll be fine.
Hi Paolo,
Somewhat similar concern ko. Me and my mom are going to taiwan next month. Ako nagbayad plane ticket and hotel accomadation and magiging expenses in taiwan. Concern ko lang ung mom ko is helper dito pinas and i was thinking pwede i declare nalang na retired siya since pa senior na siya to avoid conflict sa job niya? Baka kasi isipin mag DH siya dun. Tapos ako i am currently unemployed ng ilang weeks na (something came up sa pinagrabahuhan ko) but i have sufficient funds naman p, rt ticket, confirmed hotel booking and tour booking. Please advise.
Hi there! Just tell the IO na you’re treating your mom for vacation. If asked, yeah tell them na retired na. That should be OK 🙂 Hindi naman sila masyado strict basta family members ang kasama eh. Enjoy Taiwan!! 🙂
Hello po! It will be my first time po to go abroad this May. Is there a chance po ba na makalusot ako sa immigration?
Hi Mae, thank you for reading my post. Of course may chance kang makalusot sa immigration. Just make sure na kumpleto yung documents mo. 🙂
I think same case tayo. I will be going to Taiwan with my sister but she is still currently taking up.her Masters. So basically, this is my treat, expenses ko lahat. Do I still need to acquire an affidavit of support?
Pero if you want to be sure, then paggawa ka nalang. Better come na prepared kaysa maharang. Mas importante na kumpleto documents mo tapos tell your sister to bring her uni ID. Hope this helps!
Hi po! I would like to ask I’m a bit worried its my first time to travel overseas and alone. I’ll be having a trip to singapore for about 20 days but I plan also to visit malaysia and indonesia in this trips. Im a 25 year old female. I have been working for my company for 4 years. I have my rt, prc id,company id, coe and a leave approval certificate from our hr and i have prepared cash for this trip. I will be staying at my cousin’s house at sg thats why i dont have any bookings. What other documents do i need to prepare to avoid getting offloaded? I have prepared so much for this trip. Tia
Hi Isabel, thanks for visiting my site. You might be questioned for a while sa immigration. If I were you, I’ll book my stay in Singapore then just cancel it after printing. Don’t declare that you’re staying in your cousin’s house, mas madami tanong sa’yo niyan. If tanungin ka, sabihin mo you’re going on your own & you’ll just explore. Also, the documents you have are OK – make sure to bring all of them para sigurado. have fun in SG, MY & ID!! 🙂
Thank u
Heya, first they’ll ask what happened to your India trip. You can always say na you decided not to push through with it. Then tell them na you decided to just go to these 3 countries. As long as you have the right documents (ticket, hotel bookings & tour bookings under your name) then you’ll be fine. Thanks.
Hello po.. Di bali po kasi ang flight ko is this coming nov.
Hi John Andrei, thank you for visiting my site. She can create an affidavit of support kasi hindi naman ata required na ilagay dun yung sahod niya eh. Or if ever, find other ways na idedeclare mo sa IO like it’s a solo trip or something like that? The key is to be consistent with your trip details. If sponsored ng ate mo, then have all papers needed in relation to her sponsorship. If solo travel naman, ganun din dapat lahat about your trip. If you want make sure what else you need, perhaps reach out to the Immigration office & ask what else you need to prepare. Hope this helps!
Hi paolo,
Plan namin ng sister ko i treat ung son nya and my son going to thailand this coming march, and just anxious about the IO, I’m an ex ofw and un employed right now, Ako ang may sagot lahat ng gastos. What will i do kapag tinanong ako ng IO na wala akong work herein ph? Thanks
Hi Ana, just tell them that you’re going for a vacation & tell them the truth na unemployed ka pa ngayon. May kasama naman kayong kids so most likely makakalusot naman kayo nyan.
Hi paolo ,
I suggest basta dala mo yung company ID mo & siguro certificate of employment from your employer you’ll be fine. Don’t forget your flight bookings & proof of accommodation. Enjoy!
Hi kuya paolo,
First time traveller here, ask ko lang kung tinatanong pa ba ni IO kung magkano ang pocket money for the trip? And how much can you suggest na min. pocket money going to taiwan for 3 nights? Thanks 🙂
Hi Anne, they normally don’t ask how much ang dalang pocket money mo for the trip. Re: 3 nights in Taiwan, it’ll depend sa mga gagawin at pupuntahan mo. I’ve been to Taiwan in 2015 & 2017 na less than PHP 15,000 all in per trip pero pili lang yung pinuntahan naming tourist spots noon. http://www.thewkndtravel.com/2017/07/24/taipei-revisited-3-day-weekend-in-the-heart-of-asia/ & http://www.thewkndtravel.com/2017/02/02/3t-yay-hey-taipei/. I’d say not putting accommodation & tour fees, OK na yung 1,000 to 1,500 per day for food & transportation. Sobra sobra pa yun 🙂 Hope this helps.
Hey Paolo!
Im a first time traveller and im going to Singapore next week with my 17-year old sister and 18-year old cousin. I am also 18 years old. Our ticket, hotel accommodation, and attractions are paid by our parents. We are going to stay in the hotel for two days then transfer to my Aunt’s apartment. It will be a 6-day trip. Will there be any chance that we will be offloaded? BTW, we are all students and travelling for the first time. And also, i like your blog. It is very informative! Have a great day!
Hi Haly, thank you for reading my blog & liking my blog. Appreciate it. I don’t think na maooffload kayo as long as you have the right documents. Dapat meron kayo nung permit from DSWD for the 17-year old sister. Don’t forget your airline tickets & hotel bookings + your student ID’s. 🙂 Enjoy Singapore! 🙂
Hi Sir paulo. Then ako sponsoran ako ni cousin. Pero sya wlang sponsor. Ano po probably mangyayari sa immigration?
Hey there. It depends sa immigration officer eh. Make sure to have all the necessary documents na pwede hingin sa’yo.
Hi Sir Paolo,
Ask ko lng po sana this coming month (March 2020) inisponsoran po ako ng pinsan ng mama which is my aunty, possibly po ba na ma offload ako? Then unemployed po ako i was working before in different country since na renew ko na ulit bago ko passport na wlang stamp pa.
Hi Rialyn, thank you for visiting my blog. Where are you going? Definitely red flag yung wala kang trabaho ngayon. Suggestion ko is gumawa dapat yung aunt mo ng affidavit of support para sayo saying that she will support your trip from this date up to this date. Present that if the immigration officer asks for those documents. Wag mo rin kakalimutan yung old passport mo, return tickets & proof of accommodation if meron. Thanks.
Hi Sir Paolo,
Hi Rona, thanks for reading my post. Make sure to have all the relevant document ng asawa mo plus work info niya dun (contract, proof of acco, etc) kasi most likely yun ang itatanong at hahanapin sayo ng immigration officer dito. Enjoy Penang!! Was there last year, check out my posts about the city! 🙂
Hi Rona. Yes of course, that will help 🙂
Hi sir paolo ..good eve …plan to have a travel sa Singapore december 10 to 15 ..with my friend ..pero di kami iisang ticket ..tapos po wala akong confirm booking hotel kasi sa kapatid ko ako mag stay ? complete documents naman po ako ticket papunta at pauwi, cert of employment approved leave ,passport company id ..may possible po ba na ma offload ako ? from davao to singapote ?
Hi Dinah, you should be good to go. I would normally advise na ‘wag ideclare yung kapatid na pagsestay-an but you have the documents naman from your work – leave form, COE, company ID. Very little chance of getting offloaded, you’ll be fine. Enjoy Singapore!! 🙂
Hi Sir Paolo, its me again. We are planning ulit magbakasyon sa Malaysia, this time 2kids kona ung kasama ko. Thank you Sir sa pag sagot.
Hi Rona. Nice to see you comment again! Yep, that should be OK. Basta ‘wag mag-overstay, OK lang yan 🙂
Hi Paolo, meron kase ako nabasa na medyo risky daw mag exit sa thailand if i have two kids. Plan kase namin is mag stay sa Malaysia ng one month then mag exit lang kami sa thailand to extend another 1month in Malaysia..
Just make sure to be ready for questions asking bakit ka bumalik ng Malaysia ganito ganyan. You guys will be fine 🙂
Hi Sir Paolo! Pupunta po ako ng Vietnam this June and fresh graduate pa po ako and unemployed. My funds came from my parents. Im worried po if iquestion ng IO ang capability ko in funding my travel. What documents should I prepare to back me up sa Immigration?
Hi Madel, make sure to bring your airline tickets, accommodation bookings & tour bookings if meron. There isn’t any other document na naiisip ko na pwede mo dalhin.
Hi Madel, how was your trip? i found your comment similar to my cousin. What did you bring/show the IO?
Hi Sir Paolo,
My family and I would be travelling to HK this coming July and we would be travelling after my graduation. I am concerned if I should put unemployed or student in my departure card. Also, I only have my passport and school id as my valid ids, would that be okay?
Are there things I should be concerned about such as necessary documents to bring?
Hi Bea, you’re travelling with your family so you’ll be fine. Best to put in student & bring your school ID 🙂
Hi sir paolo, I am a first time and solo traveller, Unemployed. I have plan to go in kaohsiung taiwan this coming august for 7days as a tourist. I already have airline ticket back & fort and a hotel accomodation, Meron din po akong savings sa bank at dinagdagan nalang nang papa ko yung pera ko for this tour. Please advise.
Hi Apple, thank you for your comment. I think you have all the relevant documents for your trip. Just tell the IO na magbabakasyon ka lang sa Taiwan & present any proof na babalik ka dito sa Pilipinas (could be any paper or document saying you have a property here, or a credit card or something). Have fun! Mainit pa naman dun ngayon.
Hi sir paolo,
I dont have any work yet. And ang nag shoulder ng ticket at hotel booking ko is yung grandmother ko. Ask ko lang po if anong mga documents na ihahanda ko like supporting po. Thanks
hi Archael, thanks for visiting my post. I suggest that you bring your supporting documents from your grandmother stating that she’s shouldering your ticket & hotel for this trip. Other than that, wala pa ako ibang maisip na pwede mo dalhin kasi wala ka pa naman work.
Hope this helps. 🙂
Hi sir paolo. I am travelling with my kids and my mother in law (hilaw) since di pa kami kasal ng tatay ng mga anak ko this march. I am currently unemployed but may ipon naman ako.then yung mother in law ko may business sya. Ano documents po kaya ang hanapin sakin? Need ko pa ba ng AOS? Maooffload po kaya ako?
Hi Kamila, thank you for visiting my site. I am very sorry, di ko alam specifics ng case mo specially na di pa kayo kasal ng tatay ng mga anak mo. I suggest that you reach out to the Immigration office to ask anong specific requirements ang need mo para sa’yo at sa mga bata para hindi ma-offload. Hope this helps.
Hi sir Paolo,
Hi Rebecca, if wala kang mapapakita na proof na babalik ka dito, I suggest that you should have all necessary papers ng boyfriend mo lalo na siya yung gagastos ng lahat for you. An affidavit of support should also help.
Hi kuya, ask ko lang. First time ko kasi punta outside the country. I’m with my friend to bali, indonesia. Complete na with hotel. Ano ba maganda isagot sa IO kapag nagtanong work? Wala pa kasi ako work now. Tia! Hehe
Hi Abby, just mention you work in your family business 🙂 You’ll be fine.
Na offload po ako last dec 30 pa Macau may para sana bisitahin fiancee ko kaz dxa makakauwi nong new year may invitation ako pinadala din ni Niya lahat ng documents nia contract passport working visa pro offload pa din ako hinanapan nila ko ng dalang pera Sabi kaz ng fiancee ko no need daw ng pera so Sabi ko wala Kong dala na offload ako tapos ngayong Feb 7 uuwi fiancee ko para sunduin nlng ako kaz plan namin mag prenap sa Macau may bahay din xa don nakabook na ako Back in Fort ticket ko 5 days po ako don malakasama po kaya ako sa Fiancee ko pabalik ng macau 2 days off lang kaz xa Kaya d kami makapag pre nap dito 😔 natatakot na kaz ako maoffload ulit hehehe
Hi Christine, Yes. makakasama ka. Ang suggestion ko sa’yo is to address kung ano yung issue nung immigration officer sa’yo before. Also, you can be honest na pre-nup ninyo sa Macau kaya pupunta ka. You’ll be fine this time, kasama mo naman siya eh. 🙂
Tia sir Pao Godbless 😇🙏
Hindi naman required yun but you can bring if you want, pandagdag proof din yun 🙂 You’re welcome!
You should be fine as long as you can prove to them that you are staying in someone else’ place. You’re welcome! Enjoy your trip!! 🙂
Hi Aika, makakalusot ka naman since kasama mo brother in law mo. You should be OK – just have the usual documents (ticket, proof of accommodation, tours & other bookings). Thanks.
Good day Sir!
And yes, lahat ng tao, student man o hindi, kahit employed may chance na ma-offload.
Hi Em, please bring the following: round-trip tickets, accommodation & tour bookings, school ID & proof of enrollment if you have. Hope this helps.
Hello po Sir Paolo, foreigner po bf ko, we decided na mag meet sa Thailand para hassle free both sides sa pakuha ng visa, since Thailand is a visa free country for us. He booked my round way tickets ad well as the hotel accomodation .
I am currently employed, with docs : coe , id, hmo card, atm at kunting cash .
Tanung kulang, ano kayang iba pang documents ang hahanapin sa kin ng I O lalo na it wasnt me who booked the tickets and hotel accomodation? . Thank you po .
Hi Rog, thanks for visiting my site. Yes, red flag nga kapag imemeet mo yung boyfriend or girlfriend mong foreigner. You can always declare na vacation mo lang yun. Don’t ever mention him sa immigration officer. No need for any other documents, ok na yung company ID, COE & HMO card. Enjoy Thailand! 🙂
Hi Jessa, thank you for reading my post. I don’t know what exactly are the documents needed for those coming back to the Philippines. I suggest calling the PH embassy or consulate there in Thailand. Best to confirm with them lalo na’t minor pa yung anak mo. Salamat at ingat palagi! 🙂
Ex ofw po ako last year lang po ako nag for good being ofw.
Hi Marg, thank you for visiting my site. Yes, you will be fine. If you can provide documents proving your current work sa freelancing then that would be great. Don’t forget the other & usual documents ha – passport, hotel & tour bookings. Thanks & enjoy your upcoming trip!! 🙂
Thanks
Hi Bianca, thank you for visting my page. It will really depend sa immigration officer na mapupuntahan mo. Some ask for these things, some don’t. Best to have the documents ready nalang just in case they ask for it. Hope this helps. Thank you.
I’m planning to visit Japan for 6 days sa Dec 31-Jan 5. Andon ang bf ko kaya we want to spend new year together. Nagwowork sya don at employed naman ako dito sa Pinas. Nag apply ako ng tourist visa with my friend instead of Visit Visa kaso ako lang ang aalis. Nakapagpa booked din kami sa hostel. Nakapag dubai nako for 8 days last Aug kaso sponsored ng kuya ko. Nainterview ako non ng IO, hinanapan nila ako ng ID and I presented my PRC ID after non, okay na. Ngayon kaya?
Thankyou.
Hi, salamat sa pagbisita ng page ko. Huwag mo sabihin na bibisitahin mo boyfriend mo, sabihin mo na you’re going as a tourist. Kapag idedeclare mo yung BF mo, madami pang itatanong sayo yung IO. Iwasan na yun,
Hello good day po. Thanks!
Hi Joshua, happy new year! Make sure to bring them. Enjoy Thailand! 🙂
Blessed Year Sir,
Flight ko po to Kuala Lumpur 3Days/2nights lang po this February end.
First time travel outside and solo lang po ako..

Only Atm Cash card lang..thanks Sir.
Hi Noel, that should be okay. Just make sure to bring your company ID (if meron ka), then COE. Siguro to help you out, dalhin mo rin yung approved leave form mo if meron kayo dun. Also, no need to show your money sa immigration officer. They don’t ask for it anyway. Enjoy Kuala Lumpur!! 🙂
Hi Michelle, thank you for visiting my page. I think you guys will be fine. You have return tickets & accommodation naman. Best to bring your bank certificate nalang din. You can also show the Facebook page when the IO asks for it. Normally, they will ask what your work is. Sabihin mo nalang na meron kayong family business – okay na yun! Enjoy your trip to Kuala Lumpur! 🙂
Hi, Im going to macau this may with my auntie who is currently working there. she will be on a vacation tapos pagbalik nya kasama nako. Im unemployed right now and I have no bank acc or credit cards. sa place nya ako magsstay so dina po ako nagbook , We will just be bringing our PSA since magkasama naman kami lalabas ng bansa.
pwede pinagipunan or bday gift? (birthday ko po last january)
Thank you
Hi Aimee, make sure na yung auntie mo has complete residency documents. Let the IO know na birthday gift yang trip na yan & also don’t forget to have the return tickets. Hope this helps.
Tanong ko lang po, flight ako sa August 10 pa Dubai for my Tour, sponsor ako ng Sister In Law ko, sa ganitong case, ano po mostly tinatanong ng immigration? Pls answer me.
Hi Janina, they’ll ask for the sponsorship documents of your sister-in-law tapos documents mo rin. They’ll definitely look for proof na babalik ka dito after your trip. Have fun in DXB! 🙂
Hi good morning, Im a filipina working in Abu dhabi, and I am planning to have my vacation in Philippines ths coming may, and start my backpacking to southeast Asia for two weeks, I read your article about the Philippine immigration, and I wanted to ask a question about my return ticket will be from Thailand to philippines and start from ph-singapore-kl-vietnam-cambodia-thailand, is ths not a problem?
Hi Lyca, it won’t be a problem. As long as they see your return ticket + you have bookings in between other countries, you’ll be fine.
Mag bobook din po ako hotel accom.at back and forth ticket.. May massugest kapo ba n mtutulong skin?
Hi Pam. Salamat sa pagbisita sa post ko. I suggest that you get a letter from your employer saying na ikaw na pinapayagan magbakasyon sa Cambodia. The letter should contain gaano katagal yung trip mo, when ang alis & when ang balik. Do not mention anything about your boyfriend kasi red flag yun sa immigration officers. Hope this helps.
Hi sir, minor po ako and magtatravel without companion sa hongkong.
Hi Dee, best to have papers that will prove that your mom is working in Hong Kong, also proof of address niya rin dun para sigurado. Aside from the DSWD clearance, make sure to have your return ticket, proof of anything that you’ll go back here (school ID, proof of enrollment) para hindi ka maharang sa immigration. Hope this helps.
Hi Rona, yes! I remember you posting that question before. Glad you had fun in Penang. Nah, it won’t be problem. Just let the IO know that you’re going with your son this time. Ganda sa Penang no? 🙂 Don’t worry, I’ve tried going out of the country ng ilang magkakasunod na buwan, okay lang naman. Have fun in Penang!! 🙂
🙂 Thank you Sir Paolo, laking tulong nito samin lalo saming mga first time na mag travel.
You’re welcome!! 🙂 Nag-enjoy din ako sa Penang last November! 🙂 Yes, I remember you. Glad na naging smooth yung lusot niyo nung una. Don’t worry, ganun din this time! All the best. 🙂
Sir Paolo, question po from my couzin.
Hi sir. Paolo I’m going to travel in China and first time out of the country together with my chinese husband, wala akong work at all expenses paid nman ng husband ko. What are the possible documents I should prepared sa IO and my risk din ba ma offload kahit n kasama ko na yun husband ko mag travel ? TIA.
Hi Mia, thanks for visiting my site. Don’t forget to bring your marriage certificate, the IO will surely look for that. If kasama mo naman yung husband, you’ll be fine. Hope this helps!
Hi Shei, I am no expert on foreign employment matters & I have no idea on those cross country thing. Perhaps ask OWWA? Or maybe someone who already did it in the past?
Hi Paolo,
Possible ba ma-offload if may unpaid credit card dues? First time mgtravel abroad. Hope you can help me.
Hi Jestin, that shouldn’t be an issue.
Hi sir paulo good morning…
Hi..im just wondering whether if it’s easier to pass through the immigration with a visa(going to japan) or will i be interrogated further like when i went to hk for the first time?thanks☺
Hi Jen, it’ll be easier this time. They might just ask you up to when will you be in Japan. Enjoy your trip! 😊
Sir mag tourist lng Sana ako sa u.s now June 20 buntis ako 6 months first time po ano po ba mga requirements na needs po salamat sir ..Sana po masagot mo po sir..
Hi there, allowed naman ang tourists sa US in general. Re: being pregnant, I am not aware of the requirements. Best to check it with the airline you are flying with – sila yung nakakaalam on what requirements are needed. Salamat!
Hi this is my first time to travel outside of PH. I will go to Thailand this May, I’m still a student but I have this documents bank account(I used it to pay my round trip ticket and my hotel bookings), Bank certificate, School ID, Certificate of Enrollment, Itinerary and hotel bookings. Any tips for a student like me to face the immigration. Thank you
Hi Jessabelle, just make sure to bring all those documents (I know medyo hassle) para makalusot ka. Ang kailangan lang nila malaman is babalik ka, now if you have those documents, sure naman na babalik ka. Enjoy your trip! 🙂
Thank you sir, I have an additional question, My mother and my youngest sister(student) will be flying ahead to Singapore, we have different airlines, they will fly at 4pm and I will fly at 9pm the same day,Im scared that the immigration will be asking to much to them as I will not be on thr side on such time and its thr first time going out to the country for a holiday, I paid for the round trip ticket and accommodation is thre any other documents required aside from thr ticket pp and accomodation?thank you
Hi Lyca, airline tickets & accommodation bookings are fine. To be sure, siguro bring your mom & sister’s ticket na rin para naman makita talaga nila. If you’re working, dalhin mo rin yung company ID mo. It helps a lot. Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!
Hi po ask ko lang po if need ko pa po ba ng affidavit for support? Kasama ko po kasi yung cousin ko and her boyfriend sa hk this april. Im currently studying po so i have school id and certificate of enrollment lang po. Kinakabahan po ako baka maoffload kasi first time ko pog magtratravel. Any advice din po para di maoffload? Thank youuu.
If yes, then school ID & certificate of enrollment okay na. Siguro bring just 1 proof (kahit family photo) na mag-pinsan kayo just in case tanungin ng IO. Enjoy Hong Kong!
Hi, I am a student and first time to travel abroad. Pero po sembreak po namin.
Hi Mica, best to bring your school ID. Another proof you can bring is a certificate of enrollment na nakukuha sa school ninyo. You only need to prove to them that you have strong ties here in the Philippines & that you will go back here. Hope this helps.
Hello po, Tanong ko lang po., ano po mangyari if someone will be subject to secondary inspection sa Immingration po?
Thanks po.
Hi Ivy, there will be another set of questions by an immigration officer. They will also verify some details about you such as your work, background, purpose of travel, etc. This hasn’t happened to me but a friend of mine who went through the secondary inspection a few years ago.
Thank you Paolo,
Hi Ivy. Yep, tinanong siya for additional documents sa work. Mabuti dala niya yung HMO card niya.
Thank you very much Paolo..☺☺
Welcome, Ivy.
Hi Paolo.
hi Diane, the immigration officer was not satisfied with the requirements she showed so they had to do a secondary inspection or verification. 🙂
Hi! I’m going to Thailand next month. I’m currently unemployed now and my sister who’s currently living in Thailand will pay for my travel and I’ll be staying in their house in Bangkok. Any tips so I can pass the immigration even though I can’t present company ID and source of income? Thank you in advance.
Hi, make sure to have complete documents about your sister (just in case). Also, if you have credit cards or whatsoever document which will prove that you will go back here in the Philippines.
i have the same scenario like Ms. Gail but i dont have company id, source of income or even credit cards, what documents should i present? my sister who will pay my expenses currently lives in singapore. thank you.
hi Jay, happy new year! Make sure to have your sister’s documents / proof of income in Singapore. If you really want to be sure, an affidavit of support can also help. Thanks.
Hi Joan! I can’t say kung ma-ooffload ka ulit or not, it will depend sa immigration officer na makakaharap mo. You need to be very careful & make sure to bring all your requirements as well as all your brother’s papers para sigurado. Hope this helps.
Apologies for the late response. The immigration officer will definitely ask you saan ka nagwowork at ano work mo. To be safe, I suggest that you ask for a letter from your employer mo na pinapayagan ka magbakasyon tapos may details kung kailan ang balik mo.
I’ll get through the immigration without any trouble (if possible). I’ll be flying to Macau next month for a 2-week vacation. It would be my 2nd trip abroad, the last one also in Macau 3 yrs ago pero I flew together with my family that time. This time, I’ll be flying solo and my relatives will just meet me there in Macau when I arrive. My family chipped in for this trip as a graduation gift and I don’t want all the cost incurred and efforts that they’ve poured into this trip to go to waste. I’ve read from multiple forums and blogs na IOs pay special attention to single females who are unemployed or fresh grads (which I perfectly fit the description) thus we are subject to stricter interrogations and have more chances of getting offloaded. When it comes to the financial capacity to travel, pocket money will be provided by my parents but don’t expect a lot since we’re just an ordinary pinoy middle class family. My relatives in Macau will take me in so a place to stay won’t be a problem for me. So yung money that I’ll bring will be for the daily usual expenses like transportation, food, souvenirs and etc na lang. Anyway, what scares me the most is… I’ve also read na there are IOs who can be very unreasonable. I’m afraid they won’t be convinced that I’m really going to Macau for a tour and I’m indeed going back to our beloved country. Apologies for this long post. Any help will be highly appreciated po! Thank you in advance! 🙂
Hi Chanel, I really can’t say if you’ll be offloaded or not. Well, dapat lang na hindi. First of all, hindi mo naman first time lumabas ng bansa so okay lang yun. Pero first time mong solo na lalabas ng bansa, baka dun ka mahuli. Second, you can be honest to the immigration officer na graduation gift yan sayo ng parents mo and you have enough money to support the trip. Third, kung ako ikaw ha, hindi ko sasabihin sa immigration officer na I have relatives there. Why? Mas ok siguro if sabihin mo na you’ll go there on your own, book a hostel with booking.com (yung with free cancellation), print the confirmation then cancel your booking. Also, if tinanong ka kung bakit 2 weeks, sabihin mo you’ll take a ferry to HK ganun and dun ka palang bibili ng ticket. Something like that. Last, please make sure to be consistent with all your answers & facts. Immigration officers are taught how to screen people. All the best sa’yo! Congratulations & I hope you enjoy your trip! 🙂
Hi. Thanks for the helpful tips. It’s my first time to travel abroad and I’m alone this July to Jakarta. I do have work. What else should I prepare for my immigration interview?
Hi Loui, welcome & thanks for reading. You just need to present your flight & hotel bookings + company ID; think you’re good with that.
Hello sir Paolo,
Im employed but i dont have company id.
Hi An, bring a copy of your payslip or proof of leave, that should be OK. Of course don’t forget the tickets & hotel accommodation papers.
Hi! I’m bound to HK by the end of June. I went to Macau last 2014 (w/fam), and I just got back fr a 90-days visit to Japan last june1 (sponsored by my Uncle who’s a permanent resident there). It’s my first time to travel alone and I’m unemployed, but I have money saved for this trip. Do you think I might be offloaded since I won’t be able to present them a company ID?
Hi, it’s not your first time travelling abroad so I think you’ll make it through. If you can’t present them a company ID, then you can perhaps bring documents or other proof that you have strong ties here in the Philippines like credit cards, other IDs perhaps will do.
Hi! Hihingi lang po sana ako ng tips as first time traveller. Mama ko po is an OWF sa Seychelles (Visa upon arrival) at plano niya po kasi na papuntahin ako doon this coming September as a birthday gift. Yung prinoproblema ko po is I am unemployed and no bank statements/accounts but I am currently reviewing for my Liscensure Examination. I only have scanned copies of her work permit and passport. Hoping for your reaponse. Thank you.😊
Hi Arjelyn, bring copies of your mom’s papers to prove that she’s there & sponsoring your trip. You can also have an affidavit of support as an additional proof. You can also tell the immigration officer that you’re taking a licensure exam or you just took one, that should help. Hope this helps.
Hi po,
I’m planning to go India this month po for 2 months tourist visa. Ang problems lng po wala ho akung bank statement or any financial proof na maipapakita ko sa immigration at currently unemployed po ako. So okay lang po ba kung sponsorship letter at ang bank statement ng sponsor ko who lives n india ang ipapakita ko?
Hey there. That should be fine. Make sure to bring those documents. Enjoy India!! 🙂
hi! i am planning to visit bangkok with my brother this month,. its not my first time to travel, pero muntik kase akun naoffload nun march papuntang SG, umabot aku sa second inspection, pinapirma ng affidavit yun friends ku noon kaya nakalusot aku. nakarecord ba yun sa system nila.? currently unemployed kami parehas ng kapatid ku at sponsor namen an mother namen na nasa USA. what docs do you think shall i prep for my trip.? thanks
Hi Lyn, just make sure to have your mother’s documents with you na proof na siya nag sponsor ng trip niyo. Also bring documents that will prove na babalik kayo ng Pinas, credit cards, copy or land titles & properties also help. Safe flight!!
Hi Paolo!
Please give me some tips on how to pass the immigration officer. I am a solo traveler, and on November it will be my first time to travel abroad (HK). I am employed and I will just go there for leisure. Please give me some key points on what to answer. Your reply would be very helpful.
Hi Maan, just bring your company ID. Usually they first ask kung working or not, if yes, saan nagwowork – govt or private. For how long, then proof of employment. Have you ID, kung pwede pati health card. Answer the questions honestly. You’ll be fine 🙂
Hi Paolo, okay lang ba if I book my flight bound to HK one week before my date of travel?
Hi Kim,
Of course, hindi ka magkakaproblema dyan. 🙂
Paolo
Hi sir me and my friends will be traveling sa bangkok on March, pano po kung ako po yung nagbook ng sa hotel para sa aming apat at visa card ko yung gnamit for payment pnu po pag hanapan sila ng hotel reservation at name ko lang nkalagay doon? the pano po kung ticket nyo mas nauna na book ang MNL to BKK (back and forth) then yung Bacolod to MNL (back and forth) other date sya na book, mgkaproblem po kaya yun?
Hi Lyra,
That should be ok. Just make sure to let them bring the booking confirmation. Hope this helps!
Paolo
Hi..I will be travelling to Thailand next week to meet my bf for the first time… I just resigned from my job but currently self employed po after I resigned (piso net business 4pcs) I onuly have barangay business permit for it.. I bought my own round trip ticket ..airbnb was paid by bf…i have around 30k for my bank savings po…i have also my detailed itinerary…this is plainly for vacation and travel po… I am kinda scared coz I have a friend who got offloaded…any comments or suggestions po?
Hi Amor,
I suggest that you be honest kapag tinanong ka ng immigration office. Show them na babalik ka naman ng Pilipinas after your trip. May roundtrip ticket ka naman & itinerary, have a copy of the hotel booking nalang din para sigurado. Bring your business papers to be sure, baka hanapin eh. Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip to Thailand!
Paolo
Hi sir! I just need an advice kasi I’m worried lang. Im an ex OFW working as a nurse before and kakauwi ko lang po last december, unemployed and currently having a IELTS review because im planning po to work in UK. Now may cycle meeting po yung husband ko sa kuala lumpur and he is working in saudi arabia and he is an Egyptian national. We are planning to meet there in kuala lumpur. I have rt tickets po, hotel accommodation and cash. I have also marriage cert, bank statement of my husband and his rt ticket to saudi as well. Is this okay po? Thank you!
Hi Johanna, your documents are all good. I don’t see any issues ba’t ka ma-ooffload. Enjoy your time with your husband! 🙂
Thank you po sir! And one thing po, my friend told me to put tourist in the form instead of unemployed. Would it be acceptable and fine? Or better to put unemployed? I appreciated your help. ☺️
Hi Johanna.
Thank you for visiting my site. Hindi naman po magiging issue yun as long as you have the documents proving na mag-asawa na kayo. Hope this helps po.
Hi po gud mrning i want to ask an advice na offload na po aq last 12 of this month.. I am planning to go malaysia and i am unemployed i am invited by a malaysian frend and an ofw frend, dati po akong ofw sa malaysia un po cguro ang doubt nang immigration kya aq na offload. Ano po ung pwede q kung gawin.kukunin dn naman aq nang frend kong malaysian dto and she help me of my tour n malaysia.. Any tips po?
Hi Jillyn, good morning. Sorry to hear about you being offloaded recently. The reason why that happened is because the immigration officer felt that you don’t have strong ties here in the Philippines para bumalik ka. I think what you can do is to provide enough proof na babalik ka dito. If you have properties under your name, business under your name and also proof na yung friend mo na andun ang magaasikaso sa’yo pagdating mo dun. I suggest to settle here first, get a job & make sure na meron kang babalikan. Hindi mo mapepredict ang immigration officers. Ang pwede mo lang gawin is maging handa sa lahat ng pwedeng itanong or hingin sayo. Hope this helps.
Hi i have approved 1 month visa via embassy going to bahrain. anu kaya possible na tanong sakin? Im going to visit my fiance. Ung sa hotel accomdation pwede kaya 1 week stay lang then the rest sa flat na nh fiance ko ang adress? I already have my bank statement , rt ticket, visa .and im currently emoloyed as a nurse. Thanks
Make sure to bring your company ID para sure sila na babalik ka. Re: accommodation, yep that should be ok. Just make sure to bring all the necessary documents para makasulot ka.
My fiance has an approved visit visa via embassy po ask ko lng po anu pa po pwede hanapin sakanya sa ph immgration thanks
Hey there, usually ang hinihingi lang sa foreign nationals ay ticket going out of the Philippines.
Hi Paolo! It’s me again. I’ve been following this post since March hehe. This is same situation as mine pero I’m travelling with my boyfriend from Ph to Bahrain on August 9 and he will be on a visit visa. My question is, is it okay to tell the IO na mag bf/gf kami? Complete na docs namin to be presented sa IO. Thanks in advance Paolo!
Hi Gizzel, thank you for following this post. It should be OK to tell the IO na mag-bf/gf kayo given na kumpleto naman documents ninyo. It should be OK 🙂 Have fun!! 🙂
Wow ang bilis ng reply hehehe. Thank you for all your advice Paolo! Your post and the comments are very helpful. God bless!
Nasaktuhan lang na online ako. You’re welcome and thanks for the nice words! 🙂 God bless you too!
Additional info, I’m going back to Bahrain with my working visa.
Heya, that should be OK. Visit visa naman yung sa kanya, diba? 🙂
Hi any advice? I’m a solo traveler going to sg next year. Currrently I am unemployed. I already purchased tickets including my return ticket.
Hi there, thank you for reading my post. First time to travel outside PH? Are you planning to work before your trip? If yes, make sure to bring your company ID by then. If not, just make sure to bring your confirmed ticket, accommodation + files na magpoprove na babalik ka dito (property papers, credit cards, etc). If hindi mo naman first time, I think madali nalang yan lumabas.
Hi there! I just wanted to seek an or any tips. I am doubtful baka kasi maooffload ako sa immigration.I will travelling alone next year in SG. Currently I am unemployed but I am working part time in my in laws family business. I also purchased my return ticket kasi un kasi sabi sakin.
Hi there. Salamat sa pag-basa ng post ko. Yes, need ng return ticket. Maybe you can bring a paper stating that you are working for your in laws’ family business. Don’t forget your accommodation bookings & necessary IDs! 🙂
Hi Paolo. Good thing I have read your blog and I have questions that you can hopefully help me out. I will be travelling with my BF this Nov to SG. Now, I am employed and has travelled before, however my BF is currently unemployed & without any bank records. I am the one financing this trip and we already have RT tickets, accom. & activities ready and plan to bring 30k for both of us as pocket money. Will my BF have problems with immigration since he has no company ID? I plan to get an Affidavit of Support & Undertaking as suggested but will this be enough? Hopefully you can give me some advice on this. Thank you.
Hi Kat, thank you for reading my post. You & your boyfriend are good to go to Singapore. Just make sure to have all the documents (ticket, accommodation booking & tours + affidavit of support) ready during your flight day. The immigration officer may ask for it eh, mas ok nang sigurado. Enjoy your trip!
Hi, Paolo.
Good day!
I am scheduled to visit Japan again this October. I went there 2 years ago as a tourist and stayed for 4 days. But now, I will be staying for 15 days. I am currently employed and have all the necessary documents needed. I booked a 15-day accommodation at a hostel and cancelled it, just to have the confirmation. I will be staying in my boyfriend’s place, since he is currently working there. But I’m 100% gonna be there for leisure only, no plans to violate the laws of both Japan and the Philippines. I just don’t wanna declare that I’ll be stayong at my boyfriend’s place because reality is, they will be suspicious even if you don’t really have plans to do illegal things abroad. Is it okay to just show them the confirmed reservation of the hostel which I cancelled later on? Will I have a problem at the immigration?
Thank you, in advance.
Hi Janine, thank you for reading my post. Just make sure to bring the printed reservation (even if it’s already cancelled), they might ask for it. Hindi ka naman magkakaproblem. They don’t have access to those bookings naman eh. Also, since you’ll be there for 15 days, dalhin mo nalang din siguro yung proof of approved leaves sa work & company ID (in case hingin) para mas madali kang makalusot. Employed ka naman dito & hindi mo naman first time sa Japan so for sure lulusot ka. Hope this helps, have a good day! Enjoy your upcoming trip! 🙂
Hi pO sir Paulo
Thank yOu po
Hey Shamine, just show them the usual documents. They won’t usually ask you. If tanungin ka nila, make sure to have documents that will show your ties with the Philippines – credit cards, bank statements, etc plus air ticket & accommodation / tour bookings mo. Hope this helps!
Hi Paolo ,
Have a good day ..
Thank you in advance ..
Hi Sharmaine, thank you for reading my post. All I can advise you is to bring all necessary documents na magpoprove na babalik ka dito. Make sure to bring all papers, property documents & IDs + return ticket & accommodation bookings para sigurado na makalusot ka sa immigration. Hope this helps! Enjoy your Thailand trip! – Paolo
Hi! I have a question. I will be traveling to Japan in November and will be staying for 2 weeks. It is going to be my first travel abroad. I’m employed and I already have an approved visa. I will be staying to my Japanese friend’s house. I just want to ask if the immigration will ask for the original copy of the invitation and/or guarantee letters. I submitted the original copies to the agency but photocopied everything. I am a little worried that I might have a problem once the IO insisted the original. I don’t have any hotel bookings but I have the residence letter or address form (original) of my guarantor/friend. Will that be enough to prove that I have a place to stay? I have all the necessary papers or documents needed. Thank you
You can always tell the IO that you submitted the original documents to the embassy. Photocopies of the documents are fine. Make sure to bring all papers given to you by your Japanese friend para if itanong sayo, may proof ka. If meron ka rin proof of your friendship, please bring them. Don’t forget your company ID + approved leave form from work just in case hingin sayo. Enjoy your trip to Japan!!
hi.i have travelled abroad a few times already and i will be travelling to sg on oct 9-13 with pal which has 25 kg free checked baggage.i weighed my luggage yesterday and its 21 kg already(clothes, pasalubong and pabili).will i have a prob with the immigration?will it show the weight of my checked in on their system?thanks.
Hi Marc, thank you for reading my post. Hindi mo rin naman first time lumabas ng bansa so you’ll be fine. Enjoy Singapore!
hello po…tanung lng po kc ung husband q po bakasyon lng po xa s work nya from saudi,,balak po sna nmen n mag tour xa d2 s taiwan,,working po aq d2 s taiwan…complete nmn po documents nya from my id’s here at s pinas po,,hnd po kaya xa ma offload gawa ng saudi working visa nya.. ung frnd po kc ng workmate q na offload xa gawa ng working visa nya sa malaysia na hnd n tlg nya ggamitin kc wla n xang balak bumalik ng malaysia…salmat po 😊
Hi, thank you for reading my blog. If hindi, I suggest to just bring all the necessary documents. Kung kumpleto naman then he won’t have a problem. Make sure to bring the ticket back to Saudi as a proof na babalik pa rin siya dito sa Pilipinas before siya bumalik sa Saudi. Kung maooffload or hindi is something that the immigration officer lang makakapagsabi. Makakalusot yan! – Paolo
Ah kaya pala. He’ll be fine, don’t worry. You’re welcome. Enjoy the trip with your husband! Thanks for appreciating my blog. Have a nice day! 🙂
Good Day!
Pao hingi po akong advice I will travelling with my friend.as tourist kaso I am unemployed and yet my business permit is expired.but I have a small amounts in my savings and ako po nagbabayad ng tickets, and hotel bookings .
Hi there, thanks for visiting my site. Don’t say that you’re unemployed. Sabihin mo na may business ka. Kung ako sa’yo, irenew mo na ang business permit mo before your trip & bring a copy of it sa trip mo mismo. Mas mabuti nang sigurado kaysa ma-offload. Hope this helps.
Hello po, good afternoon. I’m ex-ofw from SG. Bumalik po ako dito last January 2018. Now, I’m self-employed doing HR consultant (freelance ) and have own business( pero barangy permit palng meron ako). Me and my bf was decided na dito nlng ako ksama ng mga anak ko. I will travel this coming Oct 19 for 30 days sa SG para bisitahin ko yung bf ko. I would just like to ask possible ba namaoffload ako kung yun previous and situation ko. My truly intention is mabisita kong yung bf ko. Thanks!
Make sure to bring yung papers ng business mo para safe, just in case hingin. Also, if meron kang papers ng pagiging HR consultant mo dalhin mo rin. Most likely hihingin yan sa’yo ng IO. No need to tell a lie, tell them the purpose of your trip & when ka babalik. Enjoy SG!
Hi Paolo
By way of introduction, my name is Russell 🙂
I will be travelling to Japan this coming Oct. 27 for 8 days to celebrate my birthday. Actually 22 birthday ko so late celebration na. It will be my very first time travelling abroad. The only documents I have is my company ID (working with SM Group for 2 years) my hotel reservation pero pay at property via agoda sya, Photocopy of COE since i submitted the original one sa embassy, ITR, pictures of my diploma and TOR Birth Cert. roundtrip tickets and credit card with access to sky view lounge. However, Wala akong copy ng bank cert ko since pagkakuha ko ng cert sa bank diretcho ako agad sa reli to process my visa and I lost my HMO card hindi ko na pina replace kasi I can still use my benefits basta ibigay lang card number.
I just found out about offloading and i am very nervous. My only purpose lang naman is to travel pero since its my first time ang dami kong thoughts. I am only 23 yrs. old guy btw. Do you think my docs. Will let me pass immigration. Thank you 🙂
Hi Russell, thank you for reading my post. Advance happy birthday! I understand it can be very daunting for first time travelers pero don’t worry, you’ll be fine. Kumpleto naman documents mo so definitely makakalusot ja. Usually kapag first time ang itatanong sayo is saan ang punta mo, gaano katagal then proof of tickets & hotel accommodation. Then they might ask you where do you work, ask for a proof (bring your company ID). No need to bring pics of your diploma, TOR. Bring your credit card nalang din. Enjoy your birthday trip!! 🙂
hi Paolo! will be travelling to hk this oct 21 with my sister. yung sister ko is 2mos palang employed. i saved up for this trip for us. what docs po ba pwede dalhin ng sister ko para sa immigration?
ang docs na na prepare ko po for myself ay coe at company id lang po. we do have roundtrip tickets, accomodation at mga entrances.. thanks
Hi, thank you for reading my post & for visiting the website. if you can ask your sister to bring a temporary company ID, mas okay. Other than that, you guys will be fine. Magkapatid naman kayong pupunta ng HK so no problem yan. Enjoy HK!! 😊
Hi sir good evening Po tnung sana aku kung need ba young cfo sa immigration
Kasi kasama ko yung husband kung Omani sya pero plan nmin mg bkasyon sa Thailand this coming nov 4 tpos sya babalik na ng oman then aku babalik ng pilipinas after 5 days anu po ba possible requirements na hingin sakin? Thanks
Hi Mitch! Good day. Salamat sa pagbisita sa website ko. Bring as many documents as you can – proof of employment mo dito (Company ID, COE, Payslips – if meron), proof of properties din and usual documents like return ticket, hotel accommodation papers, IDs, etc. You should be fine. Enjoy Thailand!! 🙂
Hi! I’m going to hongkong with my sister in law and my 80 yrs. Old mom. It will be our first time travelling out of the country. My sister in law have travelled to singapore a few years back but in her travel now she’ll be using a new passport. My question is, I have an existing online business. I’m legally separated so technically I’m single. I have secured a bank statement ( it’s a joint account of my mom and me), I also have a credit card. We have hotel accommodations, return flight tickets, and we’ll be on a package tour. Tour is just three days. My question is, I don’t know if I should put self employed or unemployed on the card? Pls. Advise. Thank you.
Hi Issa, thank you for visiting my site. I suggest that you put self-employed sa card. Please tell your sister to bring her old passport just in case tanungin siya about her previous trips. Enjoy HK! 🙂
Hi me and my friends (mag jowa)will be travelling to HK. me actually sa macau ang arrival then Ill meet my best friend in highschool and stay in her dorm for a night then the next day papasyal nya ko and after that maybe afternoon or evening Ill go to HK by ferry para i meet nman ung mag jowa kung friend(same day kami ng flight pero HK intl airport arrival nila) we have hotel accomm nman na and tickets sa mga attractions na ppuntahan namin. nag aalala lang ako sa part na first time ko mag travel abroad at hindi ko sabay ng flight ung dalawang kasama ko at okay lang ba na sa HK na ang departure ko? I’m currently employed by the way. thank you in advance
Employed ka naman so you’ll be fine. Don’t forget to bring your company ID – the IO might ask for it. Thank you & enjoy HK & Macau! 🙂

Hi Paolo,
Tanong ko lang po sana kung anong mga requirements needed to enter HK then I’ll stay sa friend ko..he already gave me his house address, may return ticket na din po ako.. need pa po ba invitation letter from him..I took LET examination last September 2018.
Thank you!
Hi Irene, thanks for visiting my page. Mas mahirap kapag you’ll stay in your friend’s place kasi you need an invitation letter from him/her plus proof tha he/she is living there. The IO here & in HK might not let you leave eh. Ang masusuggest ko sayo is you book a hostel / hotel with free cancellation. Print the confirmation after mo ibook then cancel after. If tanungin ka ng IO kung saan ka magsastay, sabihin mo sa hostel / hotel na yan then present the printed copy. They don’t have access to booking websites naman at the time na nasa IO booth ka. Enjoy HK!! 🙂
Hi, I’m travelling abroad next week. Not my first time, pero sobrang tagal na nung last ko, way back 2009 pa. relevant pa din ba yun? Should I present my old passport together with my new one?
Thank you.
Hi Jeth, thanks for visiting my page. Bring you old passport with you. Pagdating sa IO, present your new passport muna. Wait until the IO asks for the old one. Enjoy your upcoming trip! 🙂
thanks for you reply. I made it to my trip without any issues. Presented just my passport, boarding pass and departure card. The IO just asked me if I’m alone and if it is my first time. Told him not my first and I’m alone and I was allowed to go.
Hey, glad to know! Hope you enjoyed your trip! 🙂
Hi,ask ko lang sana im planning to tour thailand this coming nov. Second week im a female solo travel this time is my second time travel abroad ang first travel ko is kasama ko (hilaw) mother in law and common law husband ko and my son 3years old now in HK nung May 20-24 ! Never pa ako nakapag work abroad. And wala ako balak! And unemployed ako sir! Ako lang nagmanage ng buss. Apartment for rent ng mother in law ko nasa USA siya now anf of course im a full time housewife, I had ads in facebook group na nagpopost ako about sa pa rent namin! I only had bank certificate and platinum credit card. I just really need to be alone kahit minsan lang dahil super stress ako lately at pinayagan naman ako ng common law husband ko. kinakabahan ako baka ma offload ako, what do you think?
And by the way kung mag aask kayo sir kaya di kami pa kasal ng common kaw husband ko kasi naka file ang F1 visa niya petetion to USA we had a letter already from VISA CENTER in USA na na approve na ang petetion VISA NA LANG! tingin mo need ko pa kaya dalhin ang letter na yun na patunay kaya di kami nagpakasal pero may anak kami 3years old na.
Please help me naman po! Thank you❤️
Hi there, thank you for reading my post. Make sure to bring your return ticket, proof of accommodation & pocket money. Also, to help you get through ng mabilis, bring the documents you have (bank cert & cc) plus yung letter na magpapatunay na may anak kayo na 3 years old na. Also, don’t tell the IO na unemployed ka, sabihin mo na may business – yung apartments for rent. Siguro naman you can show them some proof from you phone about the ads na you’re posting sa facebook plus kung ano pang ibang details. You’ll be fine, di mo rin naman first time lumabas ng bansa eh. Enjoy Thailand!! 🙂 – Paolo
Hello Paolo! Thanks for the very informative post. However, I still have questions before my flight this November. I’ll be flying to Bali, Indonesia with a layover in Kuala Lumpur as a tourist. I’ll come back in one week time. I’m a 23 year-old full time student, studying for my Master’s Degree. What are the documents to prepare to make sure I won’t get offloaded po? Thank you!
Hi Katrina, salamat sa pagbasa ng post. Best to bring documents that will prove na you’re a full time student – ID and/or proof of enrollment. You’ll get through agad niyan, ang kailangan lang naman nila maassure is babalik ka ng bansa eh. If makita nila na may pasok ka pa or something like that, papalusutin ka for sure. Enjoy Bali! Make sure to go to Nusa Penida! 🙂
That’s good to hear. 😊 Should I also prepare bank certificates? Will they ask about my financial capablity? Like who is financing my studies? And of course my trip?
By the way, my Mom is supporting me financially in terms of my studies and my travels 🙂
No need for bank certificates. Since your mom is supporting you, best to prepare an affidavit of support nalang from your mom. Kapag tinanong ka who’s sponsoring your trip & para saan yung trip, tell them it’s for vacation & then show the affidavit of support. You’ll get through na. Have fun sa trip mo! 🙂
Hello. I have an upcoming trip abroad by the end of october. This is not my 1st time to travel abroad but it will be 1st time to travel na unemployed. I”ll be leaving Ph alone but I will meet my cousin in Japan whose traveling from SG Naman.
I just recently resigned and i still have a copy of my COE and my HMO card… would it be safe to show those documents in case im asked ? Im afraid kase they might dig deeper and find out that im no longer employed..
Or just present documents proving I have enough to support the trip? TIA 🙂
Hindi mo naman first time so I think they’ll be pretty lenient with you, plus visa country naman yung Japan so madali lang makalusot nyan. If ever tanungin ka nila if employed or not, sabihin mo yes to be safe & present your COE / HMO card if asked. Enjoy Japan! 🙂
Hello I’m travelling to Thailand for tourist only for 5 days but I have a stamp from my employment in Bahrain visa ,do you think I will have any problem ?
Hi Mary Grace, thanks for reading my post. You definitely won’t have a problem as long as you bring all necessary documents (showing you’re still employed in Bahrain), return ticket, hotel accommodation & tour itinerary. Hope this helps!
Hello, me and my parents are travelling out of the country next month in Kuala Lumpur, this is our first time to travel out of the philippines, since i graduated last 2010 tumulong na ko magwork sa family business namin which is a printing press, ano pwede ko ipresent na document with regards in situation like this that is related to work, i have my bank account and credit card, nagwoworry kasi ako baka maoffload ako, thanks in advance!
Hi, thanks for reading my post. Madali lang lumusot if you’re with your family (parents & mga kapatid). Just make sure to bring yung family business papers just in case hingin sayo ng IO. Usually naman haharap kayo sa IO as one eh, so lesser questions yan for sure. Enjoy KL! 🙂
Alis kopo this dec5 going to India.
Thank u so much in advance.
Hi, given na may record sa immigration yung boyfriend mo, don’t declare that. Have your company ID, take it with you & declare na employed ka pa rin para mas madali makalusot. Malaki ang chance na maoffload ka if sasabihin mo na wala kang work & pupunta ka ng India to meet your boyfriend.
Hi
Im travelling to Hk for tourist only for 14days,meron na po akong return ticket and hotel booking, and then my cash po akong dala pero wala po akong credit card,,pero marami po akong friends and relatives sa hongkong
Hi Jen, thanks for reading my post. Just bring your company ID with you & declare na may work ka pa para mas madali makalusot. Don’t forget the tickets & proof of hotel booking. Enjoy HK! 🙂
Hi sir, ask lang po, me and my boyfie will go to malaysia to celebrate my birthday, and both first time to travel abroad. Wr have roundtrip ticket, and hotel accommodation. I am not working but im receiving monthly remittance from my aunt in london, that supports my trip. My boyfie has work but no id yet. Any advice pra di kame ma offload? I dont have cc but i have bdo debit.
Hi Pinky. Thanks for visiting my site. Your boyfriend can bring a copy of his certificate of employment, para maprove nagtatrabaho siya dito. Ikaw naman, best to declare that your aunt will support your trip. If you can bring an affidavit of support that would be perfect. Enjoy your trip! 🙂
Hi sir, ask ko lang po since first time ko kase magtravel as in first time Lol. Ang destination po namin ay sa SG and kasama ko yung friend ko bali dalawa po kami magtatravel doon it’s not her first time at nagtotour tlga sya ..Full time student din po ako 24yrs old(mom).. on Dec palang naman po kami aalis nung friend ko will stay there for 5 days, I have the RT ticket-hotel accommodations- proof of enrollment-certificate from the school- letter from the dean. Yung trip ko po ay sponsored by my fiancé and yung parents nya. and i have my own savings account.
May posibilidad ba na ma offload ako? And if ever po bukod sa nabanggit ko May additional req po ba na needed? Salamat
Hi Tine, thanks for reading my post. I suggest that you bring all those documents just in case hingin ng immigration officer. I’m sure if maprovide mo yan lahat ng documents, then makakalusot ka kasi sure naman na babalik ka eh. Enjoy your trip! 🙂
Hi sir unfortunately ngback out yung friend ko and i had bought the ticket na if ever ako lang magisa aalis and since it’s my first time makakaalis papo ba ako?
Just mention sa IO na nagbackout friend mo + bring the necessary documents.
Gudpm sir this is my first tym to travel abroad my husbnd sponsor my visit in dubai for 3 month since bago lng aq im worried lng kc ang nklgay s visa qng profession is sales executive but im a nurse is it ok po b n ang ilgay q s dep card is nurse?thanks for the responds sir
Hi Maridelle, be consistent with your documents. Enjoy your trip to Dubai! 🙂
Good afternoon Sir. My friends and I will be travelling to Vietnam next week. Diba, the immigration will ask for the accommodation po.
Hi Jain Faith, thanks for reading my post. Di natin sigurado yung ganyan, I suggest look for an accommodation na free cancellation. Book one, print the confirmation then cancel the booking. If the IO asks where you guys are staying, sabihin mo un sa hostel / hotel na yun. Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip to Vietnam! 🙂
Good eve po sir
Ask ko lng po what if me and my sister both dont have work but i am an ex abroad sir i came last july 28 and we’re planning ng sister ko na mg tour sa thailand 5days at wala po akong bank account though im an ex abroad po kasi ng papadala lng po ako through palawan express.. aside po sa mga roundtrip ticket at hotel bookings ano pa po ang hahanapin sa amin sir? Takot po kami ma offload we just want to have time to travel together since first time nya din mg travel pero my cash po at sister ko my bank account ok lng po ba un? What else they need to from us sir? Or any documents? Need ko po ung help nyo about this
Hi Rami Sharisse, thank you for reading my post. Given na pareho kayo walang work, may chance nga na ma-offload kayo. You need to bring as much documents as you can to prove na babalik kayo dito. Aside sa flight & hotel bookings, maybe you can bring land titles or property papers to be sure? If you have spouses & kids dito sa Pilipinas, I think you’ll be fine. Just make sure to honestly answer what the IO asks you. Hope this helps. Enjoy our trip! 🙂
Hi sir good am. Tanong ko lang po what if kasama ko lng ang bf ko mg tour to thailand at my work xa pero ako po ai wla ok lang po ba?
Good afternoon, Tet! Salamat sa pagbasa ng blog. 🙂 Yep, should be fine. Please tell your boyfriend to bring his company ID & any proof of employment (COE, or proof of leave) para payagan siya makalusot. Siya naman will just mention that he will support you throughout the trip. Enjoy Thailand 🙂
Student po kasi sya dito and foreign passport holder. First timer po kasi pero hindi po solo, i’m with my friend kaso japan passport holder sya. Thankyou so much po.
Hi Jane, thanks for reading my post. I suggest that you ask for that letter from the accountant na ikaw yung nag-ooperate nung business niyo. Or pwede rin na affidavit of support from your mother na siya ‘kuno’ ang magsosponsor ng trip mo na ito. If yung 2nd, make sure to bring the DTI permit nalang din para mas madali makalusot. Hope this helps! Enjoy HK! 🙂
Good evening po sir.. i just want to ask coz my friend and her sister has a plan to have tour in thailand next year they are both employed but her sister kasi bago lng po sa work same company sila ng tatrabaho mg 4 months palang po un kapatid nya.. ano pa po ba ang other document na hahanapin ng io aside po sa mga RT hotel bookings? Any suggestions sir?
Make sure to bring yung company IDs nila & certificates of employment to prove na dun sila nagwowork. Ok lang yun if bago palang sila. Ang importante is meron silang work. Don’t forget the confirmed airline tickets & proof of accommodation. 🙂
Any suggestions sir paolo?
That should be fine as long as mapresent nila yung document / ID na yun. Yes, pwede niya sabihin na sama sila aalis for the tour. Hope this helps!
If tatanongin xa ng io if first time nya sasbhin nlng nya na hindi. But she do have work now here in ph 5 months.. yun nga silang dalawa ng ate nya mg tour ito yung kaibigan ko na magkaptid nag wowork sa same company.. magkakaproblma po xa don? Sorry and thanks po sir pao
Hi Sha, tama ka dyan. Kapag tinanong niya if first time niya, sabihin niya na hindi. Kahit nawala passport niya, yung records niya nasa immigration records pa rin so makikita pa rin dun na di niya first time. Ok lang naman na lumabas sila ng ate niya at same company work nila. Hindi sila magkakaproblema, just make sure na dala nila pareho yung company ID’s nila. Hope this helps. 🙂
Thanks sir pao.. God bless
You’re welcome, Sha. God bless you too!
Hi mag travel kame Ng anak Ko Na 8years old for sg in 30days pero mag stay lang kame Sa family friend ticket and everything husband Ko bumili May possible Ba ma offload kame
You just need to bring the necessary papers para hindi mangyari yun. I suggest bring your company ID if you’re working or proof of business if may business dito. A letter of invitation from your family friend might also help. Siguro affidavit of support from your husband can also help. Enjoy Singapore! 🙂
Hi paolo!
Magbabakasyon kami ng 5yr old son ko sa malaysia to visit my live in partner at 30 days kami magstay doon .. Thanks 🙂
hi Kate! Salamat sa pagbasa ng blog ko. 🙂 Best to bring affidavit of support from your live in partner, tutal siya rin naman gagastos ng lahat sa trip niyo. Also, dalhin mo pa rin yun COE mo para sigurado and of course yung return ticket. You’re going with your son, so just tell the IO na pupunta kayo for vacation & babalik rin dito after. You’ll be fine. Enjoy Malaysia! 🙂
Thanks sa reply paolo .. 🙂
Thanks:)
Hi Kate, you can ask a lawyer to draft one for you. Hope this helps!
Hello po sir, same situation po. This coming april 03 po we will be going to malaysia for a vacation and we will stay po sa staff house ng live in partner ko. Kasama ko po mag travel ang 12 yrs old son sand 5 yr old daughter ko. Now ko lang po nalaman ang tungkol sa mga off loading and affidavit of support and invitation letter. May chance ba na ma off load kami. May return ticket nman kami. And we will be staying there for 25 days. Pure vacation lang nman and treat nmin sa mga bata as they’ve done good sa skul.
Hi there, apologies for the late reply. Were you able to pass through immigration? Ano mga hiningi sainyo? 🙂 Hope you’ll enjoy Malaysia!
Hello Sir.
May plano po ako na bumisita sa Singapore together with my sister perhaps later this year. Namomroblema lang ako on my end bukod sa first time ko po na bibiyahe, unemployed din po ako for almost a year. My sister however is employed and has travelled outside the country several times already. Ang tanong ko po sir is enough na po ba na may document from my sister stating that she’ll shoulder all my expenses during the course of the trip? Pwede ko po ba siya isama sa interview room assuming that she’s done with her own interview?
Hi Sir, its my first time to travel abroad alone, i have round trip ticket, i book a hotel already. I will go in hk for 3day but my problem is unemployed ako, only my bf will support all my expensis. what are the requirments i need to bring so that hindi ako ma offload. i feel doubt na ma offload ako.
Hi Mely! Thanks sa pagbasa ng blog ko. I strongly suggest to bring all the documents na magpoprove na babalik ka dito sa Pilipinas. Mahigpit sila dito sa Pilipinas & even sa HK mahigpit na rin sila, lalo na wala ka work dito. If you have papers of land titles, properties or business papers, mas ok sana. All the best sa trip mo! 🙂
Hi Neng, thanks for visiting. I can’t say kung magkakaproblema ka sa immigration or hindi. Given your track record, siguro kikilatisin ka ng immigration officers dito and doon. I suggest na maging ready ka nalang for questions kung ano man itanong sayo.
Hello sir Paolo
Good afternoon. First time ko po na mag travel. Nung Feb po na offload ako papunta Malaysia para mag meet sa foreign boyfriend po sya lahat gumastos said return ticket, hotel reservation and tourist gamit ko para Malaysia that time. Help me naman po and any tips para hindi ako ma offload ulit. Ano gagawin ko and ano documents needed. Sub-teacher lang po ako not permanent but I have bank account. I hope matulungan mo ako sir. I had plan to travel in Malaysia by next year. Salamat po. Hope mabasa nyo. Malakinf tulong po yung post nyo.
Hi Grace, thanks sa kind words. First of all, you should not declare na imemeet mo yung foreign boyfriend mo sa Malaysia kasi if oo, offload ka na agad. Next, bring your confirmed ticket, hotel & tour bookings. I suggest get a work now, ask for a COE & a company ID para naman madala mo yun during the trip. Yung immigration officer will ask you if may work ka, sabihin mo meron then show your company ID/COE. After that you’ll be fine. Enjoy your trip to Malaysia!
Hi Riza, thanks for reading my post. Mahigpit ang immigration officers sa mga first timers na lumalabas ng bansa plus if papunta ka sa mga bansa na visa free like Malaysia, Singapore & Thailand. Make sure to bring your return ticket, proof of accommodation & if meron kang any license or whatsoever dito. Wala ka naman company ID so other ID’s should be ok. Siguro you can tell the immigration officer na private tutor ka & meron kang schedule pagbalik mo. To be sure, maybe you can ask a letter from the parent ng tutor mo na magbabakasyon ka lang & babalik ka rin after to continue being a private tutor. Hope this helps. Enjoy Malaysia! 🙂
Hi, salamat at nakita ko eto.. Me, hubby and 2 kids will be going to hk next week for 3 nights.. kinakabahan lang kasi ako, yung husband q is a public school teacher kaso hindi namin declare kasi marami pa need comply kawawa naman husband q para mag process.. so gagawin namin ideclare na lang na unemployed siya at tumutulong lg sa business ng family niya
. ako naman ay employed for 5 years sa same company.. complete papers.. tapos anak namin na isa ay nag aaral.. complete na from rt ticket, hotel accommodation, hk disney land with food and ocean park.. natatakot lang talaga ako baka ma offload kami kasi ganun declare namin na unemployed si husband (but he is studying, masters siya). I hope mkaka reply ka..
I don’t think maooffload kayo considering na family kayo magtatravel. I suggest na wag niyo ideclare na unemployed, mas ok na ideclare niyo as post grad student (plus tell him to bring his ID) then ikaw yung magdeclare ng work mo. Bring your company ID rin. You guys will be fine, don’t worry. Enjoy HK next week! 🙂
Nagwowork po sya dun and she said na ipapadala nya po yung copy ng passport and work permit nya sa Macau . Natatakot po kasi akong ma offload since roundtrip yung ticket ko . Ano pa po bang proof ang pede kong dalhin just to let IO na babalik ako dito and leisure lang ang punta ko dun . Hopefully po masagot niyo . Salamat po .
Hi Emily, dala ka nalang ng affidavit of support from your pinsan to prove na sponsored niya yung trip mo. Make sure to bring your ticket & any proof na babalik ka dito sa Pilipinas. Enjoy your trip! 🙂
Hi! Good pm.
Ang way ko po as tourist Manila to hongkong. For 3 days package tour provide NG new company security agency round trip ticket.
Ano? Po ba maadvice ninyo sa akin .
Ang sponsor Kung bago pinamamadali na ako makabalik NG Qatar this month of November 2018.Kaya as tourist ako gagawain Manila to Hong Kong.
Please! Give a good advice .
Normally may affidavit of support na kailangan pero sa case niyo I think no need? I don’t think mahihirapan kayo sa immigration kasi as a family kayo lalabas. You can always say sa IO na treat ng sister niyo yung trip & only your sister needs to provide her company ID or proof of employment.
Hi JM, wala naman yun sa solo or not. Basta kumpleto documents mo, you’ll be fine. 🙂
Para di na hanapin ang ITR if in case?
Hi Jomar, thanks for visiting my site. Yes, no need for ITR. I think company ID lang hihingin sayo, then you’re good to go! Enjoy Thailand! 🙂
No need to declare na nasa ibang bansa sponsor mo, sabihin mo lang na you’re going for a vacation. Para lang sure, hingi ka ng certificate of employment sa employer mo para just in case hingin ng IO, meron kang ipepresent. Enjoy HK! 🙂
Hi sir! Kailangan pabang magpakita nang Affidavit of Support? Ano po lahat? Thank you!
Hi Ann, depende yan sa IO eh. Minsan they’ll ask, minsan hindi. Prepare ka nalang ng affidavit of support. Let your boyfriend bring his school ID rin. Bring your company ID rin. Enjoy Japan! 🙂
Hello po, this is my 1st time to travel outside of the country, pupunta po kami ng college friend ko sa SG by January kasi uuwi siya from NZ for her 1 month vacation, ask ko lang po sana if anong pwede ko ipresent na document para hindi po ako maoffload, since naggraduate po kasi ako ng college sa family business na po namin ako nagstart magwork, sa father ko po nakapangalan ung business namin, but meron naman po akong bank account and cc, hoping for your response, thanks in advance, god bless po!
Hi there, thanks for visiting my website. Siyempre you should have with you yung return ticket, hotel accommodation & tour bookings/attraction tickets. You can tell the immigration officer na may family business kayo. Siguro bring anything nalang that will prove yung family business ninyo. Don’t forget to bring your credit card din. Enjoy Singapore!! 🙂
They will ask all your papers about your employer, ticket, contract, ticket & all. I am not 100% sure about the list of requirements for overseas workers but you may check with OWWA & Immigration directly para you can be ready with all the papers.
First of all, you need a valid passport. You also need return tickets to Thailand & back to Manila. Kailangan ng proof of accommodation plus company ID if you’re working. If he is supporting your trip, kailangan mo magdala ng affidavit of support from him para sigurado na makalusot ka sa immigration dito. Medyo strict at IOs sa mga first timers so mas okay na handa ka sa lahat. Hope this helps.
Salamat.
Hi Jaypee, if you’re going with your parents, you just need to present yung ticket & proof of accommodation ninyo (if hingin). Yes, you can tell the IO na parents are paying for the trip. Have fun in Hong Kong next year!
Hi Jaypee, if you are unemployed then yes. Unless student ka? Also, hindi naman need ng proof na family kayo kasi makikita naman na same yung last names sa passport. Also, families go through immigration as one, hindi per person. Hope this helps.
Hello po! I’m travelling to Singapore next week po for 6 days. I’m still a student, this will be my first time going out in the country, and lastly I will be travelling alone. Late po kasi ako na book ng ticket kasi i was indecisive at that time and i was unsure when ang christmas break namin. So yun po, I’ll be staying at my cousin’s condo in singapore, and she’s the one who booked my ticket. The only documents I have are: school id, certificate of enrollment, letter of invitation (but its not authenticated in singapore embassy), and also on hand cash. I dont have any bank documents.. What should I do? Grabe im really worried because im really excited for this trip. 🙁
Hi Jess, thank you for visiting my site. I think enough na yung documents na certificate of enrollment, school ID & letter of invitation. Also, don’t bring more than 10,000 pesos in cash ha. Baka magrandom check, bring SGD na siguro. Enjoy Singapore!! Mainit at madaming lakad so bring comfortable clothes & footwear! 🙂
hello po. I’m a public school teacher. This dec. my husband and I are going on a trip to Hongkong for 2 nights, 3 days. Kailangan ko pa rin kayang magsecure ng travel permit signed by the regional officer or higher rank since vacation naman na po at maiksi lg namann ang stay? My husband isa seafarer, he’s giving me a birthday treat kaya nagpabook siya ng flight to honkong. Pwede po kayang signed by the school head and district supervisor ung travel permit? Thanks in advance.
I’m not sure kung kanino pero I read an article online na hindi na kailangan? https://www.sunstar.com.ph/article/156209 – 2017 yan, I think best to give a ring to the Bureau of Immigration para sigurado. If hindi umabot yung trave permit mo, I suggest ideclare mo nalang na housewife ka & asawa mo bahala sa trip niyo para walang hassle. Enjoy Hong Kong! 🙂
First time ko kasing mag travel . Meron na po akong round trip ticket at saka hotel booking. Unemployed kasi ako wala din akong bank account. Yung boyfriend ko nag sponsor sa ticket. Ano po bang kailangan para hindi ma offload first time ko kasi mag travel. Help me naman po. Thanks
Hi Jane, thanks for visiting my site. You need to provide an affidavit of support na he’ll be the one to take are of the trip. You also need to present as many documents as you can that will prove na babalik ka dito sa Pilipinas after the trip. Mahirap yan kasi trip mo is 12 days tapos unemployed ka pa, may chance that you’ll get offloaded. All the best!
Hi,
Travel ko na po on Monday with my boyfriend sa Singapore, andun yung ate nya naka base, medjo kabado ako since first time ko mag travvel abroad and kabado ako sa IO since andmi ko nababasa about offloaded. Mag stay kasi kami dun for a month. Thank you!
Hi Cha, thanks for reading my post. Enjoy your trip to Singapore! 🙂
Hello Paolo! My boyfriend and I are planning to travel next year in Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore-Indonesia, entry point namin yung Thailand and exit point yung Singapore. Kasama din namin yung 16 yrs old sister nya and first time nila to travel abroad.
By the way, given na student kayo, dalhin niyo nalang din siguro school IDs ninyo or proof of enrollment para meron kayo just in case na hingin ng IO. Hope this helps! 🙂
Hello po thank you for sharing your post! First time ko po magtravel abroad.. nagaalala po kase ako baka maoffload ako dahil unemployed ako.. thanks in advance..
Hi Christine. Merry Christmas! Salamat sa pagbasa ang blogpost ko. I think the documents you have are enough para makalusot ka sa immigration. Siguro as additional papers, dalhin mo nalang marriage contract ninyo plus copy ng employment contract ng husband mo dun just in case hingin ng immigration office. Hope this helps.
Hello Sir! Me and my boyfriend is planning to meet in Thailand next month to celebrate our 2nd year anniversarry. He is Indian and I am a Filipina. Nakapunta na siya dito sa Pilipinas 2 times. Kaya lang, I am currently unemployed po. I only have around 20k savings on my account and wala rin po akong business dito. My boyfriend will be the one booking my tickets, hotels and all. It’s my first time travelling din po at solo. What should we do para di po ako ma offload? And what are the documents na pwede naming i-present? Really need help. Thank you.
Hi Bel, Merry Christmas. Salamat sa pagbasa ng post ko. Malaki ang chance na ma-offload dahil first time mo tapos ang purpose pa ng trip ay imemeet ang foreigner boyfriend. Either you bring with you an affidavit of support na yung boyfriend mo ang gagastos ng trip or mas ok na hindi mo idedeclare na siya imemeet mo. Just declare your trip as vacation – pero dapat complete yung travel papers mo (return tickets, proof of accommodation & tours if meron na). Hope this helps. Happy anniversary sainyo!
Hi, my passport has a receiving stamp from Irish Embassy for my visa application. But I was denied of visa since wala pakong work that time and just passed the board exam, gift sana ng tita ko for me to have a vacation in Ireland. That is why may nagiisang stamp lang sa passport ko. Will I be subjected to more questions because of that?
I am employed naman, I can get COE and ITR, I have CC, DC, roundtrip ticket, hotel accomodations. I will be travelling to Macau then exit from HK with my college friends and my bf for the first time.
Is there a chance for me to get offloaded? Thanks
Hi Leslie. Thank you for reading my post. Hindi ka naman magkakaproblema. Just make sure to bring your company ID. Enjoy Macau & HK! 🙂
Hello! Im a 19 yr old student and I will be travelling with our yaya to Taiwan next year . I have been to other countries a few times already , but this is my ate’s first time. What will be the requirements for her to present sa Immigration ? (she has a bank account and Postal ID ,pero wala po syang company ID since sa bahay po namin yung work nya)
We bought the tickets(round trip 5 days only) and etc , with our own ipon but will it help to get an Affidavit of Support from my parents?
Thank you very much in advance and God Bless po !
Hi Jeny. Merry Christmas! Thank you for reading my post. Hindi ka naman magkakaproblema kasi you’ve been to other countries na. You can also declare na yaya mo siya. Pero just to be sure, an affidavit of support will definitely help. May chance na hindi hingin sayo ng IO pero mas ok na meron just in case hingin. For sure pwede naman siya bigyan nun, if hindi affidavit of support – proof of sponsorship nalang. A letter should be OK. Hope this helps. Enjoy Taiwan!! 🙂
Hi Sir!
Thank you in advance!
Hi Elona, happy holidays! Salamat sa pagbasa ng post ko. I think you guys will be fine. I have a feeling na yung brother mo yung tatanungin at hindi kayo. Tell him to bring yung proof of employment niya sa Singapore. Hindi naman problema sa IO as long as you’re going out of the country as a family. Enjoy Singapore! 🙂
Hello Paolo,
I’m ex ofw sa abu dhabi for almost 5 years and currently taking a year off to travel. may travel kami next year ng friend ko sa Singapore. ma question po kaya ako ng IO since currently unemployed ako? Do I need to provide SOA. Thanks.
Hey there. Thanks for reading my post. Hindi ka naman siguro magkakaproblema. Sabihin mo nalang na you’re taking a year off to travel. Madami ka naman siguro tatak sa passport?
ang tatak sa passport ko is ung vacation ko last 2016 here sa Philippines, mga visa copy from my job sa abu dhabi and the one vacation from Armenia. Sa tingin nyo po okey na yun?
Hi there, that should be okay. Bring your old passports para sigurado.
Remember that you went there as a tourist and yun yung nakalagay sa records mo sa immigration dito & doon. If you want to make sure na makakalabas ka, fix all your papers here & go our legally. Thanks.
Hello po, first time ko po mag travel abroad. Punta ako ng Hong kong this april for 5 days. Actually student pa ako but nag stop muna. Kasama ko po boyfriend ko from LA but sa hong kong na kami magkikita. And siya po gagastos lahat. Ano po ba dapat ko dalhin? Wala din po ako work ngayon but may savings naman po ako. Plan ko po kasi is mag dala lang ng pocket money in case lang. Thank you
Hi Issah, thank you for reading my post. Do you have anything that will prove na student ka pa? I suggest bring that. Also, make sure to have the complete hotel bookings & roundtrip tickets. Have fun in Hong Kong! 🙂
Hi im a solo traveller(girl) and nkabooked nq ng flight ko by feb.14,2019 going to bangkok i had all my itinerary and my round trip ticket even yung hotel n tu2luyan ko i also have my debit card..possible ba na maoffload aq? I have work here and im a single mom..Ayoko nman kc msayang ung pingipunan ko to travel..thank you
You won’t be offloaded as long as you bring your company ID with you, approved leave form (if you really wanna make sure na makakalusot ka) plus siguro single parent ID (if you have one). This is after having your return ticket, accommodation bookings & booked tours. Enjoy Bangkok!! 🙂
Hello! I would like to ask if what’s the percentage of me getting offloaded. I’ll travelling po to Japan for 14 days, nag apply po ako ng sponsored visa, my finacee is Canadian citizen and he is a permanent resident. First time ko pong lumabas ng bansa. I have a stable work naman. Natatakot lang akong ma offload. Ano po dapat kong gawin? Should I tell the IO na sponsored ako ng fiancee ko or ano po?
Hi Joye. Happy New Year! Thank you for reading my post. Enjoy your trip to Japan!! 🙂
Hi Paolo, i plan to visit relatives ng (patay na) brother in law ko in Japan. First time travel solo since 1997-99 so considered first time & unemployed ako 3 years now sustentado ako ng mom ko from abroad.i have anak solo parent ako but no id yet na bago.
I freelance work at home not permanent na fulltime.
i will fund my travel with my own money from mana sa tatay ko naka time deposit sa ibang bansa makukuha ko palang Jan 2019.
so i can have 6 digits sa bubuksan ko palang na bank account pagdating ng pera. So nasa 1 month or so palang ang tagal ng pera sa account na bubuksan ko by d time magtravel ako.
nabasa ko answer mo kay Rhoan na makikita nila visas sa passport so what if after 4 days in Japan derecho naman ako ng Qatar / UAE? Kasi may pamangkin & pinsan ako doon 1st degree.
my question is, how would u answer usual questions ng i.o. ?
Hi Gracia. Happy new year! Thank you for reading my post. Una sa lahat, mas ok na yung bank account mo ay a few months old, at least 6 months para sure na ma-approve visa mo. Now, if wala kang work & someone is supporting you, I suggest na magsubmit ka ng affidavit of support from the one na nagsusupport sayo.
If yung trip mo to Japan then to UAE/Qatar ay for tourism purposes lang, I suggest na ideclare mo siya sa IO & have the necessary visas before leaving the Philippines. If you are planning to look for work sa UAE/Qatar after ng stop mo sa Japan, I am so sorry I can’t help you with that. Hope this helps.
Hi! I’m 25 years old and had travelled to different countries before but I was with my family and this July would be my first time traveling alone. I’ll be going to Japan, I’ve been there with my family three times already. I’m unemployed cause I’m still going to take the Physician Licensure exam on September. My father would be sponsoring my trip. Are there any chances of me being offloaded? What are the possible necessary documents that I should bring. Hope you could help me. Thanks in advance! 🙂
Hi Luna, happy new year! Thank you for reading my post. Para sure, dala ka ng letter of sponsorship or affidavit of support from your dad. Mas mabuti nang sigurado kasi unemployed ka at the moment. If you can also bring some proof na you’ll take the Physician Licensure Exam sa Sept then that would be great. Don’t forget your accommodation & return tickets. Tbh, hindi ka naman mahihirapan kasi you’ve been there a few times na. Have fun in Japan!! 🙂
Hi Sir,
I’ll be going to Dubai to visit my gf next month. My work naman po ako dito sa pinas for 6yrs na in a stable company. It’s not my first time to travel outside naman kaso kinakabahan lang ako ma-offload kasi feeling ko red flag yung pgdeclare na bibisitahin ko si gf. Also, is there a possibility na icheck nila records ni gf? Cross country kasi sya before nung ngpunta dubai, so wala sya record ng pgbalik pa sa pinas. Already have my COE, IDs, copy of passbook, accomodation copy(airbnb) prepared. Visa ko po will be c/o my gf.
Any tips sir? Thank you in advance. 😊
hi Kenneth, happy new year! salamat sa pag-basa ng post ko. You’ll be fine, just make sure to bring your company ID, COE & all the other documents you mentioned para sure na makalusot ka. Don’t mention na you’ll visit your girlfriend hanggang sa hindi tinatanong. I think mas okay nga na sabihin mo na you’ll just go there for vacation tapos yung ‘friend’ instead of girlfriend mo yung nagsponsor ng visa mo. Enjoy DXB!! 🙂
Hi! I work for 5 years sa Bahrain at nag resigned then last November 8, 2018 nag Abu Dhabi ako under visit visa for 90 days. Unfortunately, di ko natapos ang 90 days kasi last January 2, 2019 umuwi ako dito sa Pinas because my mother passed away. Since tapos na ang funeral ng mother ko last January 5, 2018. Balak ko ulit bumalik ng Abu Dhabi.
My gf sponsored my tickets at visit visa via travel agency last November 8, 2018 and may resident visa siya doon. (I also have copies of her docs).
In addition, may kamag anak din ako doon sa Abu Dhabi at may mga scanned copies ako ng documents niya like Passport/Resident Visa/NSO birth certificate/Emirates ID. (Informed him naman na I’ll present his docs as a proof na may relative ako sa Abu Dhabi).
Please give me more tips paano maka lusot sa IO.
Sponsor ko ay iyong travel agency and I’ll be staying sa gf ko. (Technically gf ko at relative ko bibisitahin ko doon).
Di kaya ma scrutinize ako kasi kagagaling ko lang ng abu dhabi last Nov 8, 2018 then dumating dito sa Pinas last January 2, 2019.
Your prompt response is highly needed. Thank you.
Hi, thank you for reading my post. I’m so sorry for your loss. Anyway, you’ll definitely be questioned why you’re coming back to Abu Dhabi that soon. Yung travel agency will be the safest way to go there pero hindi pa rin masisigurado na makakalusot ka sa immigration dito sa Pilipinas. The best way you can do is to tell the immigration officer that you were in a vacation with relatives then ikwento mo nangyari sa mom mo & now babalik ka dun. Sponsored naman yung trip mo eh so dalhin mo nalang yung documents ng sponsors mo. Do not ever mention na maghahanap ka ng work dun kasi red flag yun. Hope this helps.
Iyong gf ko magbabakasyon from January 26 to February 16, 2019.
Salamat.
Hi there, I agree. Mas okay na may kasama ka paalis dito. Laki ng risk if mag-isa lang eh. Enjoy!! 🙂
Good day po. Thanks
Hi Kelly! Thank you for reading my post. Yes, matibay na proof yung business permit. I suggest bring a copy of that sa trip mo para just in case tanungin ka ng IO, may maipapakita ka. Enjoy Jeju! 🙂
Or i quequestion pa ng io yan?
Hi Len, thank you for visiting my site. Siyempre pwede. Just make sure to bring your ticket, accommodation bookings, company ID & COE para sure na makalusot. Enjoy! 🙂
Hi Goodpm po.. Ask ko lang po, I’m going to Japan for tourist ng 90 days kasi nagkasakit po yung tita ko & need po niya ng kasama while shes still recovering but shes currently working na ult, And tita ko po ung ngsponsor sken & my roundtrip ticket din ako. . But my problem is kakaresigned ko lang po sa work this month kasi di ako pnayagan na magleave ng 90days..Ok lang po ba na sbhin ko sa immigration na resign na po ako sa work?? Ano kaya yung pwdeng sabihin sa immigration? Thank you in advance for the advise.
Hi Jen, yeah that should be ok. Sabihin mo yung totoong reason ng pagpunta mo ng Japan. Also, have a copy of your sponsor’s documents para sure na makalusot. Have fun!
Good day, Im 22 yrs old at first time ko po mag travel .. Planning to go thailand with a thai friend (girl).. Ask ko lang po may posibilidad ba na ma offload ako dahil wala po akong work at friend ko lang ang magbabayad sa lahat as a treat. May bahay siya na pwede naming stayhan . Ano po ba kailangan or dapat ipakita for me to pass IO? Ty
Hi Jonalyn, thanks for visiting my site. You need to prove na babalik ka dito. If you don’t have that, maybe have something that will prove na you are friends with your friend – siguro from years ago ganun. An affidavit/letter of support from her would also help.
Hi. Thank you for the helpful article. My sister and I will be flying to HK next month. This will be my advance grad gift to her. I’m just worried about my sister since she’s still a student (final sem) doing her thesis. Separate yung interview namin with the IO right? Ano kayang kailangan nyang requirements? I’m scared na ma offload since first time namin dalawa mag out of the country. Thanks in advance! 🙂
Hi, you’re welcome. Thanks for reading my post. Bring your corporate ID & tell your sister to bring her school ID. Enjoy Hong Kong!! 🙂
Will be travelling to korea po. Pero im employed for 2 years already. Have all the documents COE, ITR etc?
Hi Joms! Thanks for reading my post. Hope everything goes well with you! Enjoy Korea! 🙂
Hi. I’m currently unemployed, kareresign lang and supposedly may trip ako to HK this March. Vacation lang and sort of an “early birthday gift” to myself. I have already travelled abroad before (HK, South Korea, HK again, Taiwan and Japan) pero noon kasama either friends or family. This time kasi, first time lang na solo and nagkataon na wala pang work kaya kinakabahan ako sa IO. I have my own savings account naman.
🙁 TIA.
Hi Chris! Thanks for reading my post. I suggest ‘wag mong icheck na unemployed ka. Red flag yun sa immigration officers, siguro just mention na may family business kayo or something. You shouldn’t have any problem kasi okay naman travel history mo.
Hello po. Same case din po. Unemployed. I just resigned 3 months ago and I worked in UAE for 3 years. First time ko po magttravel for leisure. Im going to Bangkok. I only have savings in my debit card plus pocket money. Any tips??
Hi Melai, thanks for reading my post. I strongly agree to bring something that will prove your ties here in the Philippines – land titles, business permits, etc (if meron). Don’t forget to bring your ticket, proof of accommodation & pocket money. Be honest with the IO, sabihin mo na kakauwi mo lang from UAE & magbabakasyon ka sa Bangkok for a few days! Enjoy BKK 🙂
Hi! Magttravel ako sa Malaysia this coming February. Meron naman akong Hotel Reservation + Itinerary + Return ticket. Kaya lang wala pa akong Company ID kasi one month mahigit palang ako sa bago kong work. Also nag ask ako sakanila if pwede nila ako bigyan ng temporary ID, sabi nila sakin kahit COE lang daw okay na. First time ko kasi magttravel and mag isa pa. Ano po kayang best na gawin?
Hi Sunny. Thanks for reading my post. COE should be okay. You’ll be fine. Enjoy Malaysia! Inom ka madami teh tarik! 🙂
Dalhin niya lang yung proof of enrollment niya tapos school ID. Okay na yun. Enjoy Thailand!! Kain kayo madami pad thai. 🙂
Hello sir ask ko lang po balak ko kasing mag visit visa sa hk for 3 to 5 days…dati po akong ofw..kauuwi ko lang last feb.2018..wala po akong work pero may cash in nman po ako kahit konti .posible ba na ma offload ako kasi dati akong ofw.
Hi, thank you for reading my post. Lahat ng tao may chance na ma-offload. It depends on you now how you will answer the questions of the IOs.
Hi Jean, thank you for reading my post. Make sure to bring your company ID para sigurado na lusot ka sa IO. For a first timer, I suggest na magbook na ng accommodation na may free cancellation, then print the proof of accommodation tapos cancel the booking. 🙂
Hi Sir,
May possibility po bang ma offload kami, I’ve read some articles and madaming naooffload, nakaka frustrate. This coming March sana plan namin. Me and my boyfriend ay may plan magtour sa Singapore, his sister and brother in law ang tutuluyan namin sa SG and sasabayan kami ng sister niya papunta na kasi babalik na sister niya dun. We’re both employed naman, but we don’t have any passbook or active atm kasi pinaclose namin un account namin sa BDO last 5 months. Meron lang po sakin ay gcash atm and then 50k peso na cash for the tour for 1 week.
Hi Andrea, thanks for dropping by my site. If both of you are working, dalhin niyo nalang yung company ID’s ninyo. If you’re flying with your boyfriends’s sister, then mas OK yun. Hindi naman kayo nyan ma-ooffload. Enjoy SG! 🙂
goodpm sir paolo ask ko lang if magkaroon pba ako ng problema may id coe at vacation leave ako kasama ko baby ko na 1yrold and my friend going to bangkok for just 4days ano pa kya needko dalhin? single mom ako and wala nmn ako solo parent id? d kya ma question yun?
Hi Che, thanks for visiting my site. I am not aware of the requirements nung mga anak ng solo parents. Just to be sure, kuha ka na ng solo parent ID para hindi mo na need pumunta ng DSWD for the travel certificate ng bata. Give DWSD a ring & ask para sure ka sa set-up. Don’t forget your ticket, hotel bookings & company ID. Enjoy Bangkok! 🙂
Thankyou sir paolo, one more question im just 20 yrs old din kasi wala naman sguro problema sa edad kung may kakayahan naman mag travel na may kasamang baby dba pp? Anyways ready na po lahat.
Yes Che, there should be no problem. Basta make sure to bring the needed documents. You’re welcome 🙂 Safe travels!
Will travel as a family (3 of us) in Taiwan this march. What if photo video service yung business pero wala business permit? (last last passport nmin madami travel history)
We have Complete doc such as rt ticket, accommodation, iteneraries..
Wala nmn ba mgiging problem? Thank you
If ok travel history niyo then wala naman kayo magigng problema. Just make sure to bring your old passports in case hingin.
Hi Jeng. Thanks for visiting my site. As long as you have the guarantor letter & affidavit of support, you’ll be fine. Hindi ka hahanapan ng bank certificate, baka lang hanapan ka ng company ID mo sa work mo or any proof of ties here in the Philippines. Hope this helps.
hello good day po. first time ko po mag vacation abroad (Taiwan) complete naman po ang mga documents ko if hahanapin po ng i.o kaya lang po wala akong bank statement at mag i stay po ako sa dorm ng bf ko na nag wo work duon. ok lang po kaya yun ?tnx in advance
Hi Marife. Thanks for visiting my blog. Bank statement, most likely hindi. Proof of accommodation, oo. I suggest that you don’t declare it as a trip to your boyfriend. Book ka ng accommodation na may free cancellation, print the confirmation after mabook then cancel after. They will surely look for your company ID here & other proof na babalik ka dito sa Pinas. Hope this helps!
Hello Good day po…my taiwan travel po kami sa april this year..with my 7 yrs old daughter and my husband…1st time travel ng husband ko and my daughter…ang prob po..ay ako at yung husband ko..sa akin po nka travel na po sa SG with my auntie…60 days stay ako sa SG kasi yung isang tita ko my work dun so finance nya..nag exit ako sa malaysia pagbalik ko ng SG my Special Pass yung passport ko at dapat dw kinabukasan mka balik na ako ng pinas last 2012 pa po yun…then yung husband ko nmn hindi nka alis kasi nag hahanap ng COE yung taga IO which wala xa nun…posible vah na mkita nila yung history namin at ma offload kami..my plane ticket na kami roundtrip my bookings na dn sa hotel pati sa itinerary namin nka book nah..then both employed naman kami ngayon..
Hi Irene. Definitely makikita nila yung travel history ninyo. Pero you guys can always turn it around, make sure to bring your tickets & poof of accommodation. Also, mas OK na employed kayo pareho ngayon. Make sure to bring your respective company IDs & certificates of employment. Makakalusot na kayo nyan! 🙂 Enjoy Taiwan!
thank you so much po sir paolo…malaking tulong po yung blog nyo..
You’re welcome, Irene. Safe travels as always! 🙂
Have fun in Japan! Kakagaling ko lang dun last week. 🙂
Magstay po kame dun for 40-50 days, exit kame ng china after 30days. Worried lng po aq kc 1st time po aq magtravel and one way ticket plng bibilin namin kc dpa po sure exact date ng uwi namin. Question qpo is ssvhn qpo ba na 40 or 50 days stay namin if itanong nla gano katagal and wat po nid q iprovide na documents pra iwas offload po and my chance po ba na maoffload kme ng anak q?
Hi Karen, staying there for 40-50 days ay alarming for the immigration officer. Make sure to have a return ticket sa day ng alis ninyo. Hahanapin sainyo yun ng immigration officer. Make sure to also have the necessary documents for the kid. I suggest na wag ninyo ideclare yung matagal niyong stay.
Hi there, I think isa to sa mga sinasabi nilang ‘scam’ or panloloko. While I don’t have the idea if this already happened in the past, pwede pa rin ito mangyari sa lahat. Mag-ingat palagi! 🙂
Hi Sir,
I am a freelancer, and we will be going on a trip from Cebu -Macau-HK-Macau-Cebu. I am travelling with my friend originally and then yung friends nya ay sasama. Hindi ba kami makukwestyon nyan? Pwede ba sabihin ko nalang na originally im travelling with my friend only and nagdecide yung ibang circle of friends nya na sasama. Thank you. Hoping for your response
You don’t have to declare it anyway, isa-isa naman kayo haharap sa immigration officer eh.
I finished my service as a missionary last year (august) then I pass the board exam last December, Kaya nagdecide ako na magtour sa Thailand this coming march to unwind. Unemployed palang ako pero I have my church calling every Sunday.
I have also sufficient in my bank account. May booking,Roundtrip ticket na din ako at itinerary.
What do you think?
Hi Darryl, you’ll be fine. Just bring your old passport with you plus tickets, accommodation bookings and other documents. Have fun in Thailand!! Hanapin mo yung 1 dollar pad thai na street food! 🙂
HI po nagbabasa ako dito and na find out ko na may nag offloading sa immigration at ang case ko is mag sposponsor ang auntie ko papuntang dubai for 40 days tapos anong mga kailangan kong requirements para di ma offload ? Red flag ba yun?
Hi Kyle, thanks for reading my post. Make sure that you have all the necessary documents ng auntie mo sa Dubai – that includes proof of employment niya, residency info niya dun, etc. They’ll be more interested to know about her details that yours. Of course, bring proof/documents din na magpapakita na babalik ka dito sa Pilipinas after 40 days dun.
Hi sir,
Thank you so much for this blogpost. Really helpful!
Anyway, I’m going to Taipei this April for 3 days (5 days if counted yung mga madaling araw na papunta at pabalik na flights) with two friends (one is employed and the other a master’s student).
Unemployed po ako ngayon (and I live with my family) but I booked my tickets last year pa nung nagwowork pa ako. And I’m using my savings to fund this trip. I plan to go to law school kasi this June so bukod sa roundtrip tickets, hotel reservation, KLOOK voucher ng day tour, at passport, ang maipapakita ko lang sa immigration niyan ay PHILSAT (Philippine Law School Admission Test) ID Form (im not sure if marerelease na by then ang results) and bank account balance certifications (I have two accounts in different banks, both of which have more than enough, I believe). Nakatravel na rin po ako sa SG at Malaysia before (last year lang actually but with family).
Salamat! 🙂
Hi there, thanks for reading my post. Glad you found it helpful. Babalik ka naman to pursue further studies so you’ll be alright. Enjoy Taiwan! 🙂
Hi Paolo, ask ko lang sana if magrebook ako tomorrow ng flight sa taiwan, may chance parin ba na iask sakin ulet bukas yung tinanong sakin sa immigration ngayon or ihold ulet? Flight ko sana today sa taiwan for 8 days. Possible ba na mahold ako ulet for 2nd time? Thank you.
Hi there, yes may chance pa rin na itanong sayo pero then again, gawin mo lang yung ginawa mo today. I suggest go super early para hindi ka na maiwan ng flight. Good luck & enjoy Taiwan!! 🙂
hi🙂
its my first time to travel abroad for a holiday vacation 3 days (vietnam).. i’m a 2nd year college student and my bf invited me to go there.. we will only meet in vietnam.
he will pay for everything and by the way he is a korean national, he is also only for vacation in Vietnam..
what should i bring so that i will not be offloaded?
hi there, make sure to bring your college ID & proof of enrollment on top of your plane tickets & proof of accommodation. the immigration officers might also ask for proof of support from your boyfriend just in case you’ll declare it in the trip. if you’ll find a way not to declare that you’ll meet him & that you’ll just go for a holiday by yourself, that’s a lot better 🙂
Hi Paolo
Hi MJ. sorry I read your comment late. Well dapat wala. Were you able to board your flight? If yes, enjoy Japan!! 🙂
Hello Paolo!
This March will be our first travel out of the country.
I’m with my husband. If ever ba I still need to bring ITR kahit may COE and Company ID na ako? 🙂 Thank you so much for your response!
Hi Gheng, mas ok na dalhin mo to be sure. 🙂
Hi Mj,
Hi Arlene, should be OK. Apologies for the late reply, hope you made it & hope you enjoyed your trip! 🙂
Hi po. I will go to Taiwan po 1st week of March. Wala po ba magiging issue kung kapupunta ko lang sa Taiwan last Oct. then balik uli? Thank you po.
Hi Rhen, no issues at all. Just make sure to have your accommodation bookings with you. Enjoy Taiwan!! 🙂
hello what if ang kukuha sa akin papuntang dubai is girlfriend ko or ate niya pwede ba yun? 🙂
Hi Kenneth, pwedeng-pwede. Sila ang mag-aaply ng visa for you. 🙂
Hi, magtatravel po ako sa Thailand this year. 2nd time ko na po aalis papunta Thailand, the last time was just 4 days pero ngayon po 29 days na yung trip ko. From dec 18 to jan 15. Actually, may bank account po family ko pero under my name. I have work din po right now, mag-1 year na. I will get a credit card din po sa bank kung saan nakaregister yung bank account na nakaunder sa name ko. I have PRC ID din po na issued this year lang. Thank you po!
Hi Axel, I don’t see any reason para ma-offload ka. Just make sure to have strong ties here, prove na babalik ka talaga. Company ID + approved leave forms & such will definitely help you out. Have fun in Thailand & plan carefully! 🙂
Hello! I want to ask po since I will go to Taiwan next month (my first international trip), what if fresh graduate palang ako, unemployed, and yung trip is a grad gift from my lola (and she’s coming with me as well). What documents should I bring po ba if there are any? Thank you po in advance!
Hi Anna, thanks for reading my blog, I think you’ll be fine. Kasama mo naman ang lola mo. No need for affidavit of support din kasi kasama mo yung magsusupport sayo. 🙂
hello po.
I will be travelling to Taiwan and I am also a fresh grad and currently unemployed, graduation gift po saken to ng pinsan ko na nagwowork doon. She will be shouldering all of my expenses and sa kanya po ako titira when I get there. Ang makakasabay ko po sa trip na to is her friend. What are the possible documents na kailangan ko as back up in case?
Hi Chai, I already answered this in Facebook no? If not, please just bring the usual bookings + affidavit of support if you like para sure. Enjoy Taiwan!!! 🙂
Hi. It is okay to travel alone in hongkong but I dont have COE, company ID ?
The only ID that i can bring is my PRC ID.
But its my 2nd time to travel out of the country.
Hi Kath, if that can prove that you’ll go back here then it should be OK. If no company ID or COE, a letter from the company HR or approved leave form should also help.
Hello po. Traveling to bali this mos but currently i am unemployed. Ofw po at kauuwi k lang last january, but i have some travel stamps sa passport po. Return flights and accommodation are already ok. Do i need to have a bank certificate or statement of account? And also malalaman b ng IO if ibang tao ang nagbook ng flight at hotel even if its under my name? Thanx po sa sagot
Hi Lara, thanks for reading my blog. I think you’ll be fine as long as provide mo sa IO yung return tickets & proof of accommodation. No need to have the bank certificate & statement. The IOs won’t know kung sino nagbook ng ticket mo, that should be OK. Enjoy Bali! 🙂
Good day sir! Is it enough po para di maoffload? and for my mom po, ako po yung magsponsor sa trip nya. Meron na po akong notarized affidavit of consent and support to prove na ako lahat magsponsor sa trip nya. Is it enough po para di sya maoffload? Thank you and God Bless!
Hi Vince, thank you for reading my post. Your documents are enough para makalusot kayo sa immigration. Pinakaimportante yung plane tickets, proof of accommodation & yung company ID mo. Enjoy Taiwan!! 🙂
Hi paolo
This is my 3rd time to travel but it’s my 1st time na magtravel alone i’m scared. But i’m employed in government as Casual employee the HR can provide my Certficate of Employement but as a casual employee we are not required to have company id and application of leave of absences what should i do?
Hi Trixie, I am not 100% sure with the requirements of casual employees like you. I suggest that you give a ring to the Immigration office & ask for the requirements if meron man. I believe it might be the same with that of regular employee but worth confirming. Enjoy your upcoming trip! 🙂
Hi Paolo! First time namin mag travel ng boyfriend ko sa Singapore this month.at sa bahay ng tita Nya Kami makiki tuloy for 7 days.may company ID,travel authority na sya.ang problema house helper Lang Ako so wala Akong company ID.sa tingin mo big deal ba yun sa IO para ma offload Ako?
Hi Yang, thanks for reading my post. I think hindi naman big deal na wala kang company ID as long as meron letter of invitation yung tita niya for both of you. More importantly, you should have your tickets with you paglabas ng bansa. Enjoy Singapore! 🙂
Kumbaga libre niya or treat niya yung trip sayo. If you really want to make sure, mas OK na magprepare kayo ng affidavit of support.
Hi! What if po fresh graduate and currently unemployed, can i just put in the departure card na fresh grad & unemployed ako? what possible questions po kaya ang itatanong ng IO? Also, I will be travelling with my brother who will sponsor my trip din. what documents do i need to show po? Thank you!
Hi Justine, thank you for reading my blog. Yes, you need to put unemployed. Possible questions na pwede itanong sa’yo – Sino kasama mo, gaano katagal trip mo, saan kayo magsestay. Your brother should have complete documents (company ID if working, ticket & accommodation bookings, plus affidavit of support if kaya iprepare) pero usually if magkapatid naman, lumulusot naman. Enjoy your trip!
Hello. My retired mom and me are going to Singapore with our yaya for vacation. Gift na din for our yaya for all the years she’s been with us. First time niya mag-travel abroad.
We already have hotel and roundtrip flight bookings, notarized affidavit of support and guarantee, and my mom’s bank statements to prove we will shoulder our yaya’s expenses and ensure her return.
At allowed ba kami na dumaan sa immigration as a group since we are all traveling together? Thank you.
Hi Kaye, thank you for reading my post. Yes, lagay niyo nalang as employee then elaborate kapag tinanong. Also, you’ll be allowed to pass through immigration as a group bilang kasama mo naman mom mo; magdedepend nalang yun sa immigration officer if iisa-isahin kayo. I suggest na mauna mom mo, followed by your yaya then ikaw last in line if ever na isa-isa kayo. Your documents are complete naman so I don’t see any issue. Have fun in Singapore!! 🙂
This is really helpful. Thank you very much!
You’re welcome! Enjoy your trip.
Hi,
This coming april 20 plan ko puntahan gf ko sa hong kong.. first time ko mag travel and shoulder nya yung expenses ko pag punta dun (since unemployed pa ko sa ngayon).. although meron naman akong madadalang cash kahit papano.. ang tanong ko lang is kung kelangan pa ba kame kumuha ng affidavit of support just to be sure? pwede kame mag book ng hotel or mag stay sa place nila since resident na sila doon..
TIA 🙂
Hi
Hindi kailangan sa embassy, gawa lang siya ng affidavit & as much as possible have it notarized by a lawyer. Hope this helps.
Enjoy HK!! 🙂
I hope you are still active.
Anyway, I’ll be travelling to Thailand for 3 days this coming end of April. Magkaka-issue ba ako dahil unemployed na ako? I work on a project-based type of work kaya lang nag end na yung contract so I am currently unemployed. I’ll book for a round trip tickets, a hotel, itinerary and I’ll provide a Bank Account Statement as well as possession of Debit and Credit Card. I have previously traveled earlier this year in Taiwan for 4 days. What else can I add to prove my intent of coming back in Philippines.
Hey there. Thanks for reading my post. I suggest that you don’t declare na unemployed ka. Given na umalis ka earlier this year, may chance na ang itatanong lang saiyo ay kung working sa government or not. Just mention na private & maybe you can declare your old company. They don’t have to know na nag-end na yung contract mo. Enjoy Thailand!! 🙂
Hi plan ko po sana mag indochina tour (bangkok, cambodia and saigon) bangkok po entry then ang exit po is saigon. Hindi ko po first time magtravel. And this is a graduation gift ng parents ko. And magsstart ang senior internship niya ng 2 weeks after the trip. May chance po ba kami maoffload?
Hi Nikka. Thanks for reading my post & visiting my site. I don’t think na ma-ooffload kayo. That will now depend sa strictness ng immigration officer na mapupuntahan ninyo. I suggest that you bring as much documents as you can to prove na babalik kayo dito.
Magkakaissue po ba na different po entry and exit point po namin knowing na magmumukha po akong unemployed (kahit na ang totoo is i will pursue further academic studies)? Thank you po sa pagreply 🙂
Hi Nikka, depende sa destination. If it’s Singapore & Kuala Lumpor or Hong Kong & Macau, it should be okay. Make sure to bring some proof na you’ll pursue further academic studies dito pagbalik mo.
What if thailand (entry) then vietnam (exit) po? Thank you po in advance
Hi Nikka! Yep, that’s alright. 🙂
Hello
tanong ko lang po pupunta akong thailand para i meet yung bf ko first time nami g magkita, we will meet there halfway kasi from germany siya. Are they going to interrogate me still since i will be meeting my bf there?
ingat po.
Rose
Hi Rose, please do not declare that you’ll meet your boyfriend there. Hope this helps & safe travels! 🙂
Pwede siya magtry na umalis ulit next month pero he/she should come prepared. Yung offload record niya will stay there sa records niya.
Hello po,
I am currently in Bahrain and magbabakasyon sa July. Any idea what are the questions the IOs will be asking? And what are the documents that I need to provide? Or is it recommended na mag Thailand kami then from Thailand to Bahrain na? (He will have a return ticket Thailand to Ph though).
Hi Gizzel, thanks for reading my post. Ok din gawin yung via Bangkok pero risk yun for both of you.
Thanks for your reply Paolo. That was September 2017 and the IO just asked me who am I visiting (my aunt) and if my aunt is working (which is no). That’s it. I’m just worried that the IO might see on my passport that I was on visit visa before and now under working visa. Di kaya ganun din isipin ng IO na gagawin ng boyfriend ko and do you think it will be a big factor for him to be offloaded? I need your advice. Thanks in advance.
Hi Gizzel, thanks for your honesty. I strongly suggest na ‘wag niya gawin yung ginawa mo dati. If bakasyon lang, bakasyon lang. Huwag na huwag magsisinungaling kasi it might ruin your or your boyfriend’s records in the long run.
Hi again Paolo. Any suggestion on what are the documents we should prepare to prove that he is only visiting? Aside from employment certificate. Thanks again.
Hi Gizzel, employment certificate should be OK. Siguro dalhin na rin yung leave form from work plus letter from company HR (if they issue it) addressed sa Immigration. Thanks.
Right. Thank you so much Paolo for the help. God bless you more!
hi Gizzel, you’re welcome! Always happy to help. God bless you too!
Hi everyone!
Share ko lang experience ko sa NAIA t3 immigration a few days ago nung lumipad ako to taipei.
My case: Unemployed (going to law school), traveling with two friends, has only traveled to two other countries (SG and Malaysia) prior to Taipei trip, booked RT tickets over a year ago (May 2018 pa for a 4-day trip in April 2019)
What happened:
We wanted to check kung sino yung di masyadong masungit tingnan na officer as suggested by other bloggers pero poker face lahat at may mga na ooffload almost every station. Individually kami ng friends ko nagpresent sa officer so ako na nauna since ako lang sa aming tatlo yung mukhang maooffload kasi nga unemployed tapos sila masters student at employed.
Nung turn ko na, aaminin ko na kahit pinilit kong maging positive na makakaalis ako since pure naman intentions ko to travel at ligal, medyo kinabahan p rin ako. So I presented my RT ticket, boarding pass, departure card, and passport.
Officer: *sees that I put unemployed on my departure card* Bakit ka unemployed?
Me: I’m going to law school kasi this June.
O: Saan?
Me: *name of school*
O: First time mong mag travel sa labas?
Me: No.
O: *sees that I printed my tickets on scratch papers (essays ng students ko na di na kinuha 3 years ago when i used to teach)* ano to? Mga poems?
Me: *inside: Essay kasi* Mga essay yan, college teacher kasi ako before.
Pero nagresign na ako last year pa lang.
O: Anong school?
Me: *says name of state university*
O: Dala mo resignation letter mo?
(Medyo nagulat ako dito. In retrospect, feeling ko tinanong to sa akin to know if I was lying.
Me: No.
O: Govt school ba to?
Me: Yes.
M: Sigurado.
O: Anong pinapakita mong documents before?
M: Parents ko humaharap sa immigration.
O: Kasama mo sila ngayon?
M: Hindi.
O: Mag isa ka lang?
M: No, I’m with my two friends.
O: San mo sila nakilala?
M: Yung isa, college friend, tapos kasama namin ate niya.
O: Saan nagtatrabaho mommy mo?
M: *says name of govt office*
(Medyo nag-strike sa akin yung paggamit ng “mommy” to refer to my mother. Tingin ko, based sa profiling ng officer sa akin, mukha akong type of person na mommy ang tawag sa nanay nila, which is true lol)
O: *stamp stamp*
Victory!! Para akong nabunutan ng tinik.
So clearly, if wala kang other intentions other than tourism, wala kang dapat ikabahala. Answer with confidence and brevity. I know that some IOs can be too intimidating pero I think yun lang yung default mode ng lahat so dont take it personally na lang. Wag lang kayo magpa-intimidate.
Months prior to this trip, nagseek din ako ng advice online regarding my case kasi medyo nervous ako sa pag travel bilang first time ko without my parents at lalo nat UNEMPLOYED ako. Some ppl said na I should bring ITR or bank statements, and I also thougt about bringing my PHILSAT id form para lang mapatunayan na I’m really planning to go to law school. But I didn’t bother and took the risk. Bahala na si Batman, pero I knew I wasn’t doing anything wrong so di na ako nag abala.
I was kinda expecting na they would ask about my financial capacity or something pero hindi naman nangyari.
So this situation doesn’t apply to everyone since may iba iba tayong case. 🙂
Shoutout din sa blogger na to for telling me na theres nothing to worry about!
Hi Keanu, thank you for sharing your experience sa immigration last week. Glad na you made it through with very few questions! I agree with you, kailangan lang talaga na maging consistent ka sa answers mo lalo na’t wala kang ibang intention kundi magtravel. Hope you enjoyed Taipei! 🙂
Hi Paolo!
I’m going to Bangkok with my friend this coming May 26 to 30. We already bought roundtrip tickets and also booked from airbnb. But then, what happened was we used a credit card from a friend because we don’t have one then we just paid him in cash. And then again, we used another friend’s credit card to book from airbnb and paid him in cash also. We thought it was okay, but after reading lots of article, we’re now worried! 🙁 Would that be an issue since it’s shown in the receipts what mode of payment has been made?
Also, by that time, I’m already considered fresh grad and unemployed. We will have 30k pesos each – cash on hand by that time and no credit/debit cards. Can that be considered as the “show money” to show we could finance ourselves?
By the way, it’s already my 5th time to travel outside the country. The only difference now is that I’m not with my family, I’ll be with my friend. My friend on the other hand is currently employed and her first time to travel outside the country.
Thank you in advance for answering! 🙂
Check with your AirBNB if they’ll ask a copy of it sa check-in. Immigration officers won’t ask for the credit cards too. No need to show the money you have to the IO unless asked. Tell your friend to bring his/her company ID kasi for sure hihingin yun sa kanya. Have fun in Bangkok!! 🙂
Hi Sir Paolo,
Pupunta po ako ng Bali for Two Weeks, the main purpose po is magbabakasyon kami ng Aussie Bf ko and dun na kami magkikita for our First Anniversary twice na po nya ako binisita dito sa Pinas.I am currently employed in a private company at may decent earning naman po. I booked a ticket going to Bali paid it in cash, since you gave a tip na huwag na sasabihin na may imemeet ako sa Bali.Yung worries ko kasi is nung first time ako nagtravel way back 2015 is na Offload ako (Going Japan to visit my sick Aunt),then last 2018 nung nagtravel kami ng friends ko going HK para magtour pina second interview ako kasi nga sa history ng offload ko po but then i easily cleared the immigration,i only showed the officer my Company ID, Company Photos and COE at nakalipad ako and with all the pa ikot ikot lang na mga tanong.Do you think magkakaproblema po ako again? because of my offload history, and magtatravel solo? I prepared sobrang documents this time like, RT Ticket with Receipt, Confirmed Hotel Booking (naka name sa akin kasi nga SOLO ), COE, Company ID, Travel Itinerary for Two Weeks, ITR, Credit Card, Debit Card, Payslips ko, Bank Statement and Certificate,Company Photos at US Dollars.Let me know sir if may ma advise pa po kayo.
Hi Donna, thanks for reading my post. Well yung offload record mo will be there forever. I don’t know if mapupunta ka ulit sa 2nd screening, depende na yun sa immigration officer na mapupuntahan mo. As long as na kumpleto yung documents mo (yung mga sinabi mo siguro add the company leave form or letter from HR about your leave), then you’re good to do. Do not declare na you’ll meet your boyfriend in Bali, baka mas question-in ka pa. Sabihin mo na solo travel lang. Enjoy Bali!! 🙂
Do I still need money to show the IO po like like onhand money?kahit may invitation letter na, bank statement niya, payslip,at sponsor letter po na sya lahat gagastos?kailangan ko pa po ba ng cfo certificate? salamat po
Hi Marjorie, you basically have all the needed documents. No need to show money lalo if sponsored yung visa mo. It will now depend on the immigration office if papalusutin ka nila. Kung may visa ka naman then you’re likely to go through. Just be very honest regarding details about your trip. Hope this helps! Enjoy Sweden!
Hi sir paolo
My family are going to japan this coming may 15 for 2 weeks and this is our first time, may invitation po kmi for may niece and his japanese husband, please give me a tips and information what document do i prepare to pass the immigration. Thank you
Hi Lilibeth, please make sure to have the documents of the person who invited you. Other than that, yung usual documents niyo na kailangan – ticket, company ID’s of those working tapos proof of booking ng attractions or tours if meron. Enjoy Japan!! 🙂
Hello po! I’ll be travelling with my son, mom(self employed manicurist) and my cousin(student) in singapore this july, i’m unemployed po, but i have a small piggery(which is not yet registered) and online shop(dti registered) natatakot po ako baka ma offload kami, any tips po para di maoffload? I have sufficient fund din po in my bank account. Salamat!! 🙂
hi KC, thanks for reading my post. Bring your DTI papers to prove na meron kang online shop & declare that as your way of living dito sa Manila. Don’t forget your usual documents – ticket, proof of accommodation, attraction tickets & tour bookings if meron. Ok na yan! 🙂
Hi Ruth, are you on holiday from overseas work? If yes, bring your papers. If not, just tell the immigration officer that you have a small grocery with your family as a business. Don’t forget all the documents you mentioned earlier. Enjoy Thailand!
I am currently employed in managerial position. I prepare the following docs.
*COE, ITR, LEAVE FORM, COMPANY ID, PAYSLIP, XEROX COPY OF ID with SIGNED, ROUND TRIP TICKET, HOTEL ACCOMMODATION, DISNEYLAND VOUCHER, CREDIT CARDS, ATM, SHOW MONEY, NBI, POLICE CLEARANCE, VOTERS CERTIFICATION, PHILHEALTH ID.
Makalusot kaya ako sir? Dami kasi naooffload.
Hi Joseph, those documents are all good. Have fun in HK!! 🙂
Hello, ask ko lang magtatravel abroad po ako May 20-24 2019 to Kuala Lumpur to visit my girlfriend (filipina) who is currently working there nagstart siya this April 2019.
Ako po is currently employed itong April 2019 here in the Philippines I have company ID. then yung COE after probationary period ko pa daw.
may savings naman ako pero more on onhand cash. wala pa akong bank accounts.
then ang nagbayad ng flight ticket and hotel accomodation ko is through credit card ng girlfriend ko.
ask ko lang ano kaya yung mga pwedeng hingin sakin ng IO? sabihin ko ba na ivivisit ko ang girlfriend ko and magtotour kami at the same time sa Kuala Lumpur? Thank you!
Hi Kevin, you should be OK. Don’t forget to bring your company ID, pinakaimportante yun. Enjoy Malaysia!! 🙂
Hi po sir, just want some tips from you po. This July 19-30, 2019, I’ll meet my boyfriend for the first time in Thailand and have a vacation together po. And this is also my first time to travel abroad.Pero ang problema po, my contract sa work will end on June, pero i have booked already my roundtrip ticket and we already have our hotel accommodation plus may reservation namin sa mga places sA bangkok. Natatakot po akong ioffload.
Hi Jane, don’t declare that you’ll meet your boyfriend there. Sabihin mo na you’ll have a vacation in Thailand and mag-apply ka ng new work pagbalik mo ng Pilipinas. Show them all your booked tickets & accommodations rin para lesser chance of getting offloaded.
Hi! I just want to ask, I’m planning to travel to Thailand for two weeks, is it okay if I just bring my PRC ID instead of company ID? Accepted din ba yun? Because I don’t have an actual leave form from work plus di pa nabibigay company ID namin since bagong applied pa lang ako. Thanks!
Hi Jay. Yes, that should be OK. Another thing, payslip could also be a good back-up just in case. 🙂
Hi,i just want some tips ,ex abroad po ako ng HK .Magbakasyon ako june 3-10.currently wala akong trabaho, accomodation and tickets roundtrip paid lahat ng bf ko. Salamat.
Hi Lilian, thanks for reading my post. Enjoy!!
Natatakot po akong maoffload on my first and solo abroad travel vacation this august at bangkok for 2 weeks. I don’t have work anymore po pero i have savings naman which I’ll use for this trip and gift ko din tong travel to myself. And also, mag aaral po ako ulit this June for graduate studues. Any tips and help po?
H there, best to declare that you’re a graduate student, show them your ID (if asked) & proof of enrollment. Enjoy Bangkok! 🙂
Pag inask po ba ako regarding sa savings ko, should i tell the io na it’s my savings when i was still working?
Heya, of course you can say that 🙂
Pero yung previous work ko po was in a government, should i still declare that i’m a former government employee if ever they’ll ask me where is my personal savings came from? Also po right now, My dad is supporting me, should i get an affidavit of support? Private po yung work niya, should i also get an employment certificate niya to support that he’s capable of supporting me?
Don’t tell them na it’s from your previous work. Sabihin mo lang na savings. Also, the affidavit of support, though not required, will surely help you get out of the immigration. 🙂
I had a successful trip po sir! Thank you for the advices! When I was at the immigration, I just showed my passport, round trip and the departure card. Tapos tinanong po ako where ako mag statay, what will i do there, will i be with someone else also asked if student pa talaga ako since i declared as student. I answered them honestly, i told him about my hotel and address of it, and mag sisight seeing ako vacation and i’m alone. He asked for my booking and school ID which i was able to show naman.
Pero the IO told me to get to a line for an interview since it’s my first time trip abroad daw and alone din po. Marami siyang questions and hinanap like Passport, Return ticket, hotel bookings. He saw that I’m a student, he asked for my ID and certificate of enrollment. I gave all talaga, I gave my schedule form from my school and my bookings sa mga tourist spots which he just looked.
After that, tumayo po siya without even saying words dala dala yung ID ko, Round ticket, passport, certificate of enrollment and hotel booking. Pagbalik niya, without words parin pero may sinulat sulat siya sa parang form and I peaked and saw that he checked the “Allow” option. Binigay ko yung form and had my passport stamped!
Wow, that’s good news!!! 🙂 Buti nalang you have your school ID & certificate of enrollment kasi that will surely prove na babalik ka ng Pilipinas after ng trip. I am happy that you got through & now you’re having a great time in Thailand!! 🙂
Hello I’ll be travelling with my cousins to bangkok po for next month.
Hi there. Do you have work here? Bring your company ID & other work papers. Same if student, bring your ID para sure. Tapos wag din kalimutan yung hotel bookings, roundtrip tickets & tour bookings if meron. Enjoy Bangkok! 🙂
What if po student po, travelling alone but funded my trip through my savings? What will be tge requirements?
Hi Mae, bring your student ID. Or anything that will prove na enrolled ka or mag-eenroll ka 🙂
Hi I’ll be traveling to Hongkong from Manila alone for my birthday . I’m currently a student it will be my first time traveling too. However my bf which is a foreigner will be sponsoring my trip. It will be a 3 days trip only
But will it be helpful if the hotel booking will be under my name? Since we will just meet in Hongkong but nit our first meeting.
Can i just tell the immigration that I will finance my trip Since I have savings account that has around 40k ? (my bf will really pay for this)
If ever I tell them that I’ll be financing my solo travel will they look at the hotel booking print out that it is paid for 2 person?
Or will it be better to book a free cancellation hostel then cancel it after printing?
I don’t wanna tell the immigration that I’ll be meeting my bf in Hongkong since it’s gonna be another red flag for me
Please give me an advise
I don’t wanna be offloaded
I’m a student I have enrollment form and Id I have return tickets will be booking hotel, travel vouchers and travel itinerary
I can also get a bank statement and I have pocket money
Thank you
hi Chele, thanks for reading my blog. All your papers are good to go, make sure to put everything under your name. Don’t ever declare that you’re meeting your boyfriend, just say that you’re on your own. The accommodation papers for 2 pax should be ok, rooms in HK are small. Have fun!! 🙂
Hi sir.. good morning… Strict po ba sila sa Vietnam? Vacation ako dun August po.. kita kami bf ko dun from Australia .. e declare ko lng po ba na for tour ako alone dun kaysa sabihin ko with bf ako?
Hi Genevieve, declare it as a solo trip. Don’t ever declare that you’re meeting your boyfriend there.
Hello po! Your blog is very helpful and I want to say thank you for posting this. But I have some concerns and questions din po. Actually I will be traveling with my parents to Hongkong by the end of the month. My mother and I both have jobs but my papa is already unemployed because he retired early this year. Although he has a business naman po which is under his name and also some savings. My questions are:
1. Should he put retired on the departure card? or unemployed? or self employed? (naguguluhan na tlga ako)
2. What other papers should he bring aside from business permit and bank certificate?
Thank you so much!!
Hi Mary, thank you for your kind words. Glad to be of help 🙂 To answer your questions, declare nalang as self-employed then bring the business permit just in case hingin. That should ve OK. Enjoy Hong Kong! 🙂
Hi Paolo,
I just wanna ask for an advice. I’ll be going to Canada as tourist for 3 months. This will be my second travel abroad, I went there last year for two weeks. I am just worried that my 3 months plan of stay will be an issue with the officer. Another things is that I recently got denied for my study permit there, will it reflect on my passport/visa? If yes, will it be another reason for them to questioned me? I already have booked my round trip plain ticket. I can request for COE and ITR from work, I dont have any hotel bookings though since I will be staying at the house of my bf’s parents. My bf and his parents will be my sponsor for my travel, they will provide an invitation letter for me. I will also not be able to show any approved leave from work (I had one prepared during my first travel because it was only two weeks and I got an approval from work, they didnt ask for it though). They didnt ask me lots of questions during my first travel, maybe because it was only 2 weeks?
Thank you so much Paolo!
Hi Jean, thanks for reading my post & visiting my site. The immigration officers might flag your 3-month stay as that might be too long. However, if you have the complete documents like invitation letter, etc, you’ll be fine. They’ll definitely see the denied student visa request. I suggest that you request for COE & bring your ITR with you. Also, as much as possible, please don’t declare that you’re going to your boyfiend, red flag yan usually sa IO’s, declare them as a family friend or a friend. May photos ka naman with them siguro in the past? Have fun in Canada!! 🙂
Hi Paulo,
Thank you for your reply.
My visa application last year that was approved had the purpose of visiting my boyfriend, so if ever I only declare visiting a friend only, I’m aftaid they’ll know I that I’m not telling them the truth by seeing it through my passport or visa?
Is that even possible for them to see it? I know masyado na ako nag oover think haha.
Thanks again Paulo 😊
Hi Jean, I didn’t know na you had a previous visa with that background. If that’s the case then just make sure to bring your COE, company ID & proof na may babalikan ka dito kasi matagal-tagal ang 3 weeks. Pero take note that they’ll see the denied student visa application mo. OK to declare the boyfriend thing too. Hope this helps.
Good day po !
Ask ko lang po sana if yung immigration ay tumatawag sa number na nakalagay sa company I.D/COE if employed ka ?
Hi Mark, they won’t. They won’t even get it, hihingin lang and titingnan. 🙂
Hi Sir Pao,
However before ako nag resign, nakakuha ako ng coe purpose to travel dated May 30.
Or sasabihin ko nalang na wala ako work?
Hi Jeff, yes you can use your COE na dated May 30. Also, best to declare na may work ka pa rin para lesser questions. Don’t forget your tickets & bookings. Enjoy Thailand! 🙂
Thank you po.
Welcome, tell them you forgot it hehe 🙂
Hi Sir Paolo! Pupunta po ako ng Thailand this August and fresh graduate pa po ako and unemployed. What documents should I prepare to back me up sa immigration?
Thanks.
Hi Ley, bring your student ID muna as a proof. Tell them rin na parents paid for yours. More importantly, isang IO lang kayo pumila ng friends mo tapos paunahin mo yung isa, gitna ka then yung isa huli para sure na makita nila magkakasama nga kayo.
What if po na surrender ko na po yung school I.D ko po?
Hi Ley, that should be OK. Just tell the IO na nasurrender mo na yung ID mo sa school. 🙂
My younger cousin and I are going on a trip overseas this month. Kakagraduate niya lang ng college nung June and she currently have no job yet and I am sponsoring her trip as a graduation gift. As for me, I am employed for five years in my current company and have stable source of income naman. I have been out of the country for leisure purposes several times na rin. I was just worried kasi my cousin is a first timer and wala pa siyang work. Would that be an issue? Any advice?
hi Trish, that won’t be an issue as long as kasama ka niya. you can tell the IO na sponsored mo yung trip niya. 🙂
Thank you sir. We will staying din with our cousin na residing sa country of our destination. Will there be an issue po ba for my freshly graduated cousin na kasama ko if we just bring letter of invitation from our other cousin mentioning we will be staying sa place nila?
Heya, definitely contradicting. So just choose one – either you’ll declare na you’ll sponsor the trip or your cousin will sponsor the trip including the letter of invitation.
This is noted. But we don’t have hotel booking kasi. What if hingin ni immigration officer? Ano kaya okay gawin?
Tell the IO that you’re staying in your cousin’s house & give them the address if hingin.
Hi sir, my BF and I were invited to go to Macau this August. My boyfriend’s Aunt invited us to go there but his Aunt will not be sponsoring us on the expenses. Question po sir, I just resigned to my job and now I’m unemployed, what will be my requirement to prove that I’m financially stable? My brother will pay for all of my expenses. will i pass the immigration officer?
Thank you for sharing! God Bless
Hi Queen, it’ll all depend sa immigration officer. If you don’t have your company ID then bring other ID’s na makakapakita na babalik ka dito 🙂
hi po sir!
it’s my first time to fly abroad tapos solo pa po. my flight to bangkok will be next friday. student pa po ako. may student ID, certificate of enrollment and also assessment form from my school. May savings din po ako and affidavit of support (financially supported by my father) din po ako pero notarized by a local lawyer lang po. Ma-ooffload po ba ako?
Hi Jack, apologies I just saw your comment know. Your documents are enough naman. Were you able to go through PH immigration? Enjoy Bangkok!! 🙂
Hi po!
First out of the country ko po papuntang hk, recently resigned sa work nung end ng june. Need advice po, I still have my company id pero wala po ako copy ng coe/payslip/hmo id. Ok lang kaya sabihin na employed pa din kasi may company id pa naman ako as proof or sabihin ko na kakaresign lang, di din ako naghanap muna ng work dahil mahihirapan lang ako magleave. Ano po kaya magandang diskarte? Wala pong property or credit cards.
Hi Kaye, I suggest that you just declare as employed then show your ID if hingin. 🙂
Hello. I will be travelling with my 6month old baby and my mother this coming friday and we will visit singapore for 6days. I’m unemployed, I have online business and lazada store. Our trip is sponsored by my Indian partner(father of my daughter). Btw, we got married but til now we don’t have marriage certificate due to some lacking documents from India, but we had a ceremony here in Philippines. We will also meet my partner in Singapore as he will have an Exam for his future employer in SG. Will I be subjected for secondary interview? Thank you. I travelled numerous times already but it is my first time to leave with my daughter and my mother and my point of origin is not philippines but UAE.
Hi Sali, I am very sorry for the late response. It will depend on the immigration officer if you will be subject to secondary interview or not. Curious, were you able to go through? How was the process? I’m interested how you made it to your trip so that other readers can be informed about this situation. Thank you!
Hi, yes My family is enjoying Universal Studios as of writing this comment. No questions was asked for me. My mom was asked who is travelling with her and where will she stay. That’s it. Thanks!
That’s great! You’re well-travelled so you weren’t asked any other question. Have fun in USJ & in Singapore!! 🙂
Good day po.
We will travel to Macau this Sept. 8 ,2019.
We booked airbnb in Macau for just 1 night and 2nights in Hongkong.
Hi Jhon, I am not aware of Airbnb being illegal in Macau. Personally, I don’t use Airbnb. I always book with Agoda, Booking.com or Hostelworld. Do check with Airbnb mismo or maybe with the host if everything’s alright.
Thank you so much Paolo. God Bless 🙂
You’re welcome, Jhon. Enjoy your trip! 🙂
Thank you po .
Good day po. I will be traveling to Thailand together with my mother po next week. Thank Sir 😊
Hey there! If ganun na nga, then you just need to bring your return tickets, proof of accommodation & tours if meron. You’re travelling naman with your mom so hindi naman yun issue or whatsoever. Hope this helps!
Good day Sir Paolo,
Thanks for this blog post, it’s really a great help..
Anyways, me and my boyfriend are travelling to Vietnam (5 days) this coming December as my birthday treat. Dati po kaming ofw sa Korea (2015). I am currently employed for 2 yrs now and on my part, I would say, I can present all the necessary docs.
But the problem is my bf, he is unemployed and would not be able to present any proof of source of his income.
I paid for the RT tickets, hotel booking and tours thru my credit card. Actually, I will shoulder most of the expenses as sign of gratitude kasi when we were in Korea siya lahat ang gumagastos sa travels namin.
Possible po kaya maoffload ang bf ko kasi as of now wala siya proof of financial capacity to travel?
Pero aside from that complete nman kmi sa rt tickets, hotel bookings and itinerary, plus proof of employment ko..
Thanks in advance!😊
Hi Jin, thanks for appreciating my post. You guys will be fine, as long as dala mo yung documents mo. Make sure to bring all those documents na minention mo. 🙂
Hi po! I’m planning to go back to SG this coming October. The thing here is that I am currently unemployed and I will be staying in my BF’s place. Nka rent kase sya ng one room sa isang HBD dun na good for 2, pero sya lng mag-isa, so dun nlng ako instead na mag hotel pa. Last year, kami ng bf ko ang magkasama sa SG for travel but unexpectedly last March, pumunta sya ng SG para mag work na talaga. Meron nrin syag working permit and OEC from PH. One week lng nmn ako dun. Is it okay if sasabihin ko na I am unemployed and yung bf ko ang sasagot sa lahat ng gastusin? Will they be asking for an invitation letter? Ano po ba ang need ko i-prepare? I really need your advise. Thanks!
Hi Rue, I think mas OK na sabihin mo na you’ll go there for holiday. Book a hotel/ hostel accommodation na pwede icancel para no mention or anything re: your boyfriend. Mas magiging madaming tanong sayo if you’ll declare your boyfriend. Also, ok lang naman na sabihin mong unemployed ka but make sure to have proof na babalik ka dito ng Pilipinas after the trip. Hope this helps.
Hi Rue! Yes, it should be OK 🙂
Hi sir Paolo,
Punta po ako sa Dubai sa December for a 6 day vacation. Kaso kinakabahan ako na maoffload kasi first time ko magtravel, and also alone, tapos sa Dubai pa po yung first trip ko.
I already booked my RT ticket and hotel accommodation. I’m currently employed for 3 years now and mapreprepare ko naman po yung mga necessary documents.
Sa tingin niyo rin po ba ma sesecond inspection ako because of the reasons I said on the first part?
Any tips would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance. 🙂
hi Ace, thanks for visiting my site. I can’t say if aabot ka ng 2nd inspection or not, depende yan sa immigration officer na mapuntahan mo. Ang suggestion ko is don’t declare that you’ll meet your friends there. Sabihin mo na you’ll go there for holiday, pakita mo yung company ID mo or leave form mo sa work dito and be honest na nagbackout yung dapat na kasama mo pero tutuloy ka pa rin on your own. Matutuloy ka & you’ll surely have fun there!!
Thanks for the suggestion sir Paolo!
My friend is going to Singapore this October and I’m planning to come since I also wanna go there.
Do you think this will help lessen the chances of me running into trouble with the immigration office to Dubai when I go there alone on December?
Hi Ace, you’re welcome! Going to Singapore next month will definitely help out. That will lessen the questions, etc. Go for it! Have fun in SG! 🙂
Hi po!
I am travelling together with my three (3) friends this Sept. 23-28, 2019. This is my first time travelling abroad. I recently quit on my job last July 30 this year and I am currently helping my parents in our small family business, just small. I don’t have any company ID, COE, and ITR because we don’t have one. I only have the mayor’s permit and certificate of registration from SEC. I also have our Itinerary and our round trip ticket. Will that be enough?
Hi Anne, thanks for visiting my site. Yes, those documents will be enough. Enjoy your trip!! 🙂
Hi! First of all, thank you for the tips! Super glad I came across this post (and your blog!). I just have a small concern. So I’m traveling to Israel in November for two weeks for a vacation. I’m going to shoulder all my expenses (food, shopping, tours, and fares) except for my accommodation because I have a friend in Tel Aviv who offered me an extra room in his apartment. What should I present to the IO in case they ask about the accommodation? Thanks in advance!
Hi Kim, thanks for the good words. Glad to be of help! Regarding your concern, my suggestion is for you to book an accommodation with Booking.com or Agoda that has free cancellation & pay later option. After booking, print the confirmation & cancel the booking. Show that to the immigration officer if he/she asks for the proof of accommodation. Do not ever declare that you are staying with a friend, they’ll ask you a lot of questions; might even be the reason for you being offloaded. Just tell them that you are staying in a hotel or hostel & that’s it. Hope this helps.
Hi po. We will be travelling to Singapore next month with my boyfriend for 6 days. We already paid our round trip tickets, our hotel is already fully paid. We already book a car also para mag pick up sa amin sa aiport-hotel. Yung documents po na meron kami is yung certificate of employment, Company ID, vacation leave from the company, mastercard, and yung mga printed docs po sa confirmation bookings po namin sa hotel at car rental. We don’t have any credit cards po, pocket money lng. First time to travel po namin both since we will be celebrating our anniversary and birthday ko po. Can you suggest other docs po na kelangan namin para di ma offload?
Hey, thanks for visiting my website & my post. You pretty much have all the needed documents. You’re good to go, no need to bring more docs. Have fun in Singapore! Advance happy birthday & happy anniversary to both of you! 🙂
Hi po!
I will be travelling to Bangkok with my bestfriend. She is employed po pero ako student pa lang though legal age naman na ako. We already booked our roundtrip flight at yung hotel where we will stay. I have also sufficient cash/pocket money to fund my 5-day trip, at may debit card din ako. May chance po kaya na maoffload ako? Or what other documents po kaya yung kailangan ko pa?
Hi Kat, thanks for visiting my site. Don’t forget to bring your school ID & any proof of enrollment para hindi ka maharang. Other than that, you guys will be OK. Enjoy Bangkok!! 🙂
Hi,
Ask ko lang, I just resigned sa work ko. And I want to treat myself which is to travel. Is there any possibility na ma off load ako, kasi baka isipin nila na dun ako magwowok, which is hindi naman.
If you can show enough proof na babalik ka naman ng Pilipinas, I don’t see any reason para harangin ka nila.
Hello po! I will be traveling to Singapore alone po this November. Kinakabahan po ako baka maoffload po ako. I’m a fresh graduate and currently unemployed. Yung ate ko po who is working in SG po ang magssponsor ng trip ko, graduation gift po niya sakin. What documents shoud I bring po?
hi Kath, make sure to have all of your ate’s documents + proof of support na siya gagastos ng trip mo na ito. Hope this helps!
Hi sir paolo its me again. Its my 2nd time to travel, medyo may nerbyos ako at anxiety pa din bout the immigration thing. the case kasi i will travel alone for the first time kasi magkaiba yung time ng flight ko sa family mauuna ako sa knila ng mga 10 hours you know naghahabol tayo ng promo. what if magtanong ang immigration kung ako lg ba mag isa or cno ksama ko? tapos yung papunta ko hongkong pauwi nman macao, then magkaibang airlines. mag didig in pa ba yung officer pag ganon? hope you can response about my problem. thank you sir paolo. God bless you po
Hi Lyra, di naman. Just tell them the truth, na mauuna ka sa family mo kasi mas mura ticket. If ever magtanong bakit magkaibang airline, sabihin mo na mas mura eh. Ganun! Makakalusot ka nyan, don’t worry. 🙂
Hi Sir Paolo,
We have upcoming trip to hongkong this coming NOV 1 with my husband and 2 kids (6 years old/15 years old) , I am employed with a private company since 2013 I have prepared the tickets, Klook Bookings (disneyland), and Hotel Accom. My Husband is just having a small sari sari store but no business permit, Doe he needs to tell IO that he is having a small sari sari store? what if the IO as for the business permit? Or you suggest just declared him as unemployed and I am the on shouldering his travel expenses?
Thank you and this is a big help for the first time traveller. Thanks
Hi, sorry for the late reply. You guys won’t be interrogated that much if you’re flying as a family. Just tell the immigration officer that you are paying for the whole trip & your husband has a small business. No need for the business permit. Don’t declare him as unemployed 🙂 I’m interested ano tinanong sainyo ng immigration officer sa Pinas? Enjoy Hong Kong!!
Hi Paolo! I have upcoming travel to Japan this November 11, booked my ticket just this Oct 22 and I just resigned from work last July. I really wanted to experience Autumn in Japan. It’ll be my 4th time in Japan if ever. I’m just having second thoughts and medyo takot ako na baka ma-offload since alam ko red flag kapag unemployed. What documents po kaya do I need to bring? Thank you po.
Hi Jasmine, sorry I was on holiday & just got back. You shouldn’t have any problem this time. Were you able to make it to your flight? How was the experience with the IO? I’m interested to know more about your experience.
I’ll be travelling naman with my family pero kinakabahan padin ako kasi baka ako lang ang maoffload. Sana masagot nyo po. Salamat
Hi Jazz, alam ko meron dun box to tick for unemployed. You can tick that. If you’re travelling with your family then I don’t see any reason para harangin ka. They won’t ask that much as well from you. Enjoy your trip!
Hi Sir Paolo !
Government Employee po ako under contract basis. Meron na po akong COE, payslip, ITR and Copy of Contract. Sabi ng officemate ko no need na daw po Authority to travel kasi di naman daw po ako permanent. Would you think hindi n talaga ako hahanapan ng ganun? Salamat po ng marami
Hi Patricia, apologies hindi ako familiar sa policies for government employees. If you are still in contract, best to get a travel authority kasi technically under ka pa rin nila. You can ask around sa office ninyo. Re: pagsabay, of course that’s OK 🙂
Hi, Sir Paolo! I just have some questions. So here’s the thing:
I will be attending a conference in just a few days this November in Bali, and at the same time, nag-extend din kami ng ibang friends/co-delegates ko for like 2-3 days para mag-explore. Sagot na naman po ng organizers yung lahat-lahat during this 3-4-day conference, and yung sa extended days lang po yung magiging sagot ko/namin. Since conference to and we have our own schedules, kanya-kanyang book yung others. But for the whole confe/trip, magkakasama talaga kami. My main purpose of going there is the conference itself talaga, and it just so happened that I extended bc of my friends and opportunity na rin to explore since nandun na.
This is my 3rd time going outside the country, and yung 2nd time na umalis ako ay this year lang for the same conference just like this one (2nd edition yun then 3rd na ngayon). For the documents aside from the passport and e-boarding pass (departure), I have the acceptance letter, travel itinerary (roundtrip), hotel accommodations (both from the confe and yung binook namin), return ticket (e-boarding pass), school ID (from college just in case), other govt IDs like philhealth ID, nbi and police clearances, cedula, PSA birth certificate, etc., and pocket money.
Now, I’m a fresh graduate, but I had this quick job after graduation for only like 2 months just until this October. So currently, I’m unemployed. I resigned due to personal reasons, and di pa po talaga ako ulit looking for a new job this year. I’m still waiting for hiring opportunities sa target companies/organizations ko, so after ko pa ring makabalik ng Bali yun talaga magagawa. Hopefully and preferably ay next year pa depende rin ofc sa opportunities, but it is for sure na after pa ng Bali kasi di pa talaga ako nag-aapply ngayon. Besides, if ever, mahirap magstart ng new job knowing na aalis din ako ng bansa a few weeks lang after resignation cause malamang nasa probationary period pa.
With that being said, I requested for a copy of COE with compensation (got this already) from my prev company, and ITR (wala pa nga lang as of now) for additional docs. Unfortunately, sinurrender yung company id upon resignation so wala na sya sakin. Aside from that, I will try to have a proof of my funds since meron akong savings from my bank account (separate from my pocket money) and ofc, debit card. Own expenses din po kasi gagamitin ko dun and galing po itong savings nung nagwowork pa ako. Right now, I guess I couldn’t be able to request for a bank certificate or statement due to time constraints (😞). Naiisip ko na magprovide ng printed screenshots ng existing balance ko sa account ko and transactions like statements via my financial institution’s mob app or website (since app/website, meron ako sa phone na pedeng i-on the spot check if ever lang), and an ATM receipt indicating my balance as of (near my flight).
In case about dun sa land titles, properties, etc. kagaya po nung sa ibang comments, wala po ako nun.
So sir, my questions are:
1. Okay lang po kaya itong situation ko as well as my preparations including the papers, etc. para makalusot sa immig?
3. I’m confused as to what am I gonna declare din po sa departure card if it is okay to still indicate being a student, or unemployed na? Di ko po kasi mabalance talaga kung alin po yung okay lang na ilagay ko po based on my situation. I’m only confused lang po talaga sa part na to.
Thank you so much po! I sincerely apologize for the long comment. Your reply po would surely and definitely be appreciated. Have a great day, Sir! 😊
Hi Jenica, apologies for the late response. I was away for 3 weeks. Here are my thoughts..
It’s for a conference, I don’t see any reason why iooffload ka. You don’t need to bring any other additional papers, as long as andyan yung acceptance letter mo & kasama mo yung ibang delegates mo.
2. Enough na yung documents na meron ka.
3. If you still have a proof na student ka like your ID, then mas safe na ideclare mo as student. Pwede mo naman sabihin na unemployed then explain na you’re waiting for opportunities dito sa Pilipinas & aasikasuhin mo sila lahat pagbalik mo.
Hope this helps. Have fun in Bali!! 🙂
hi sir paolo
im bound for jakarta this coming november 14, natatakot po ako baka ma offload since first time ko mag travel and mag isa pa po ako and im unemployed , im going for a vacation , pero my funds po ako na galing sa mom ko and i have my savings dahil ako po nagmamanage ng family business namin pag wala yung parents ko.
hi Grays, you should tick in unemployed. Ito ba yung ginawa mo? Were you able to pass through immigration? How was your experience? Apologies, I was on holiday. Ngayon lang nakabukas nito.
Hi. Thank you for posting this. May concern ako kasi I will be going to Singapore in December but I already resigned from my company. I already have a history going to AU and Singapore last time but kasama ko family ko noon and this time, it’s my first time as a solo traveler and unemployed. I already returned my company ID and healthcard to my company. What I only have is PRC ID and iyong ITR ko last year. I am still waiting pa my application to another country. Do you think I should try to get employed muna para sure ako lulusot sa SG?
Hey there. Thanks for visiting my site. First of all, don’t declare na naghihintay ka ng application for ibang bansa. You can always say na you’re unemployed now, taking a break from working & you’ll start working again in January 2020. Given your travel history, you should be OK 🙂 Enjoy Singapore!! 🙂
Hi Sir thanks for responding? Sure to?
Heya, red flag nga kapag unemployed pero it’s better to be honest than make up stories. You can always say you’ll start working again next year.
Hi Paolo! I have sort of the same concern as restnom. I’ve been to SG (2011) and HK( 2018) with family but will be travelling with a friend 1st of week of January 2020 to Taiwan. Just recently resigned from my work and will be unemployed by then. A bit worried about getting offloaded and secondary inspection since it’s my first time to travel without a job (so no COE and ID ready). What should I put in the immig card under employment and what documents should I bring? I only have my payroll bank account which will remain active even if im not longer with the company. Thank you!
Hey there, thanks for visiting my site. You have previous trips naman so minimal questions nalang yan, however pwede maging red flag na wala kang work sa ngayon. Do you have anything na tied up sayo ngayon like credit cards, properties under your name, etc? You must bring documents that will prove that you’re going back here after your trip. Also, limot ko na yung sa immigration card kung ano but yeah, gotta be honest there. Hope this helps.
Hi Paolo! May chance po akong ma off load kasi im going to visit dubai this coming dec. im with a friend together with her family then may ticket and visa na po ako. un lang po documents ko and wala po akong work kasi im a fresh graduate and recently ko lang nalaman ung about sa offload kaya im a bit nervous kasi strict daw pag mag totour sa dubai. kasi dati nag travel na ako sa singapore and malasia okay naman.
Hi Kaye, if you’re travelling with their family, I think you’ll be fine. Have fun!! 🙂
Hi Paolo. I’ve been reading the comments here and I learned a lot! This blog is very helpful for us!
Here’s my situation:
I am about to leave PH next month. I’m 28, a teacher in a private sector. Since I am in LDR for the past 3 years, My boyfriend and I have decided that this time, I am the one who will visit him in Abu dhabi since every year, siya po palagi ang umuuwi. I will stay there for 3mos and I already have my passport, PRC, company ID and COE. My boyfriend will sponsor my visa and accommodation. I am very much worried kasi baka ma deny ako ng IO since it’s my first time to travel abroad, alone and non-relative ang nag sponsor sa akin.Is there any required docs na needed na dapat kong i-present? Your kind response is much appreciated po.
Hi Robin, glad to know the blog has been of help. Re: your situation, normally I advise people not to declare their boyfriends overseas pero sa case mo since siya naman magsosponsor ng lahat, I think it’s alright to declare it. Just make sure to have all your documents, including affidavit of support & photos with him just in case hingin ng immigration officer.
Thank you very much Paolo. That’s a relief for me. Atleast , nabawasan po ang kaba ko.
Maraming salamat po and more power for this blog. Sana marami pa po kayong matulungan. This blog is highly recommended po.
You’re welcome, Robin. Hope you enjoy your trip! Thank you for your nice words. God bless 🙂
Hello, ano po ilalagay sa occupation kung nung june 2019 pa ako graduate, wala pa akong work kasi I’m helping my mom na magmanage ng business namin so obviously wala akong company id or everything na magpoproof na I’m working, should I put ‘unemployed’?. I am going to singapore kasi mag isa ko.
Hey Reycebelle, you can put employed / self-employed. Make sure to have your mom’s business documents just in case they ask for it. Also, make sure to have your necessary documents like return ticket, proof of accommodation & tour bookings (if you have). Thanks.
Hi Kristoffer, first of all mas okay na meron kang return ticket para sure na makalusot ka. 2nd, bring all the necessary documents ng asawa mo – proof of employment niya sa Hong Kong, copy ng ID & visa dun, affidavit of support stating that she’s supporting you all the way. Basta dalhin mo lahat ng documents that will prove na she’s there & she’ll support your trip. Hope this helps.
Hi!
Just need a bit of help to ease my mind.
So, I went on a solo trip to Tel Aviv for two weeks in Nov 2019 to explore the city and fell madly in love with the culture and the food. Immigration was a breeze and I was only asked simple questions (Who are you traveling with? Are you visiting anyone in Tel Aviv? When did you buy your tickets? How long have you been working for your company? Btw, I am a freelancer and working for a company based in Tel Aviv; I was surprised and honestly relieved that the IO didn’t grill me about that particular detail.)
This coming Feb 2020, I am planning to go back to explore the rest of the country for two months. Since I made friends during my first trip, they offered me to stay at their place so I can save some cash. So, I won’t have hotel bookings to present to the IO. I’m afraid that the IO might get suspicious and offload me for this reason and also because of the fact that I’m returning to the country so soon and for two months this time. Maybe I’m just overthinking the whole situation but I’d like to hear what you have to say about it.
Much appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Kim, happy new year! It is indeed a red flag, my suggestion is for you to have a dummy hotel or hostel booking for your stay. That you can present to the IO when asked where you’ll stay. Please do not declare you’re going to stay in your friends’ places. Hope this helps. Thanks.
Thanks
Hi Ann, an authenticated copy is fine. Explain nalang niya na andyan sa’yo yung original kasi you used it for the visa.
Hi Paolo,
Need your advice and opinion. I Got offloaded 2 days ago going to SG with my fiancé’s sister and niece (minor). Sa sg nag wowork mom ni minor. I was an ofw kaya sguro ako naharang, andaming tanong sa 2nd IO. hindi ko na pinush pumunta kasi ca compliance kailangan May affidavit of support na relatives lng, e wala naman akong kamag anak sa ibang bansa. But now im planning to travel again on feb 8, with my niece (minor )na ako ang magiging guardian as a bday treat and my mother 56 y/o with new pssport first time lalabas ng bansa. Possible ba na ma offload ako ulit? And kung ok lang ba na SG kmi mag travel or should I change my destination knowing na na offload ako pa SG? im currently unemployed but owner ng salon with super fine financial sttua. Thank you so much!
Hi Shenelle, thanks for your question. I believe I already answered this on Facebook. If you have further questions, please let me know. Thanks!
Hi! I’m glad I came across your blog. It was really informative. I hope you can help me on my query. I was about to fly to Singapore this coming February and a solo traveller. I heard that it’s harder to ace the immigration interview if you are a solo traveller and a female. Can you give me some tips on how can I pass my immigration interview? I was kinda nervous since it is my first time travelling abroad.
Hi Marvs, thank you for visiting my site & for the nice words. It won’t be harder if you are well-prepared. Make sure to have you confirmed plane tickets & accommodation bookings with you. So please don’t do that. Ultimately, just be honest with everything & make sure na familiar ka sa details ng itinerary mo, bookings mo & accommodation mo. Hope this helps!
hi Paolo! i need your advise. Previously i travel with my mom and sister and i was an ofw at the time.
i came back here last year and working in our family business. im single and wanted to travel solo.
but i was offloaded this Jan 15 2020 at Naia T2 .
now i want to rebook a flight to Bangkok, and my friend ask me to go to Cebu first before going to Bangkok.
do you think this will work out. thanks.
Hi Kelly, sorry to hear what happened to you. Changing airports of departure won’t work. Depende talaga yan so kung gaano ka-strict yung mapuntahan mong immigration officer. Ang suggestion ko is to address the reason why you were offloaded last time. All the best!
Pero I made sure na May company id ako, coe, loa, tas hotel reservation tas return ticket.
Hi there. Thanks for visiting my site. As long as you won’t declare na dun ka magsestay sa kaibigan mo, you’ll be fine. Sabihin mo nalang na you’ll be a normal tourist this time. Enjoy your stay in Thailand! 🙂
Hi there, you can bring a certificate of employment para just in case humingi sila ng proof of employment, pwede mo ibigay yun. Hope this helps! Enjoy Taiwan! 🙂
Hi sir. Ask ko lang po, pupunta po akong Japan next week and first time and solo po. Fresh graduate po ako and wala pa po akong work.
Hi Pauline. Thank you for visiting my site. To lessen this chance sa case mo, make sure to have all the documents ng tita mo na sinubmit sa embassy nung nag-apply ng visa. They’ll ask a lot about it for sure.
Hello, sir. Papunta po ako ng Tbilisi (Georgia) this coming weekend. First time and solo traveler. But may small business din po kami ng mga friends ko and shareholder po ako dun. But super liit lang po ng shares ko, like let’s say 1-5% lang po.
Hi Honey, you can provide papers of both businesses. Perhaps a letter from your dad will help pero extra na nga yun eh. Declare both nalang, you’ll be OK. Have fun in Georgia!
Hi ask lang po me and my boyfriend will travel to taiwan this coming march pero may history of travel sya to qatar but pinauwi sya due to medical problem although may working visa naman sya and all kaya lang po nag travel kami to singapore prior sya mag qatar. Nakalagay po sa passport manila to singapore then to qatar. Magiging issue po ba sakanila pag nakita po yun
Hi Che, I already answered this on Facebook, right? Message lang if meron pa rin tanong.. Enjoy Taiwan!
Hi po! Tanong ko lang po. Kasi im US citizen.
Hello Valey, you can tell the immigration officer na ikaw ang sasagot sa lahat. Mauna ka na pumila for everyone para you can let the IO know. After mo, just wait for them sa likod ng IO. They’ll be OK.
Thank you. Can you give me advise kung pano ko isisingit na sabihin sa IO na ganun nga? Sorry ah. Kung makulit ako. Very anxious lang kasi ako. Na baka may ma offload sa amin.
Hello, no worries. Actually sabihin mo sa kanila if they ask you. If hindi, then don’t. Keep doing yung isang tanong isang sagot method. It works all the time.
Hello,
First time traveler here. So ganito po ang story, I have a freelance client (while I’m employed here). And they invited me to go to israel for 2 weeks. I have all the documents (Round trip ticket, hotel accommodation, COE, approved leave cert, Bank statements, and company ID). May dala din akong money just to prove na kaya kong sustentuhan yung travel ko.
My worry is that, lahat ng expenses, yung client nagbayad, so CC nila yung gamit. Tapos yung hotel accommodation ko eh 9 nights lang (from march 2 to 9).
I will be coming as a tourist. Is there any chance na hanapan ako ng copy ng credit card na ginamit dun sa plane ticket and hotel accommodation? Kabado kasi ako. I even asked my client to call the embassy of the Philippines in Israel, at sabi naman nila, basta i-declare ko lang na tourist ako at may sufficient docs, okay naman daw.
Haha.
Hi Mario, you’ll be alright. You have all the needed documents so okay na yan. Re: credit card for booking the plane ticket & accommodation, depende sa airline yan. Some airlines still require the credit card to be presented upon check-in, some don’t. Best to check that with your airline. Enjoy Israel, enjoy your trip!! 🙂
Good Day po! Currently po may resident permit visa na kami for qatar, balak po namin magtourist visa muna sa Malaysia for 5 days para mamasyal ,parang vacation na din then from Malaysia to Qatar. balak po namin na bumili na ng two way ticket Manila to malaysia and Malaysia to Manila but baka d na po kami umuwi at dumeretso na kami ng Qatar especially if papuntahin na kami ng employer namin. bale po ofw kami from Dubai for almost 10 yrs then transfer kami ng Qatar location same employer po. Kaya po balak namin dumaan ng Malaysia before going to Qatar. Naisip namin to be safe eh two way ticket na bilhin namin dahil baka harangin kami sa Immigration kung bakit walang tiket pauwi. Thank you
Hi Aysha. If you have all the documents naman for the resident permit visa sa Qatar, then no need to buy return tickets for Malaysia. You can always tell the immigration officer that you will go to Qatar after Malaysia & then show the visa you have. If you want to make sure, don’t declare the Qatar visa you have & just say na magbabakasyon kayo sa KL, but buy 2-way tickets if ganun. The visa should be a good proof na. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the quick reply. Ganun na lang po, I’ll inform we’re there for vacation and buy two way tickets however if we’ll be asked about our occupation, what would be the best answer since wala pa po kaming company ID for Qatar kasi ung ID na meron kami is from Dubai but same company po. Shall we show ung ID namin from Dubai anyways wala naman nakalagay na its for Dubai, just the logo is there. Although meron tlagang national ID ang UAE and Qatar. We have national ID from Dubai but its already canceled since we were relocated to Qatar at meron na kaming resident permit issued in Feb.26. Thank you so much for your time.
hi Aysha, you’re welcome. You can always tell the IO na naka-bakasyon kayo dito sa Pilipinas at hindi pa babalik. Or if you want to tell the truth, OK lang din naman kasi you can always explain. The fact na meron kayong residence permit, you’ll be fine naman na.
ah ok so yung bottomline po talaga is IO tries to avoid na maghanap ng work ang tourist sa ibang bansa like Malaysia holding a visit visa and the fact na meron kami resident visa to Qatar exempts us from the doubt na magtatagal kami or maghahanap ng work sa Malaysia. thank u po for the clear explanation.
Yes, Aysha. You are correct! 🙂 You’re welcome!
Hi sir! Babalik din sya sa ph this year.
Hi Nicole, good day! Just make sure to bring proof na siya fiance mo + yung ticket niya pauwi this year para maniwala yung immigration officer.

Thank you
Hi there, on the top of my head, affidavit of support is needed. However, I have been reading in online groups na yung affidavit of support ay usually inaaccept lang to a certain degree ng family ties. If you want to make sure what proof ang need, then please reach out to the PH Bureau of Immigration office para they can provide you the needed documents for your friend. Thanks!

Nanay – walang trabaho
Kapatid 1 -grab driver
Kapatid 2- housewife
Hipag – housewife
Bayaw – karpintero

– fully paid hotel accomodation
– Klook disneyland + madam tussaud
– ITR, BIR registration
Salamat!
Hello, hello. Maraming salamat sa pagbisita sa aking site. I think you guys will be fine. If you want to make sure na papayagan talaga kayo, then perhaps prepare an affidavit of support saying that you will sponsor all the people mentioned + have it notarized. Pagdating sa immigration, mas mabuti na ikaw ang mauna sa pila tapos ideclare mo na it will be a family trip fully sponsored by yourself para ikaw yung tatanungin at hindi sila. If you want make sure what else you guys need, perhaps reach out to the Immigration office and ask what else will they require from you and the whole family. Hope this helps!
Hello sir Paulo. Im planning to take a Vacation po sa Jakarta Indonesia and yung duration is 2-3 weeks. I have an Indonesian friend na open yung house nila para dun ako mag stay for my vacation. Im currently unemployed and my only source of income is Tiktok Online selling. Im also having adjustments kase naka brace ako (so need ko talaga bumalik sa Philippines to do brace adjustments monthly). I dont have any credit cards as a proof po.
Hi Kristian, thank you for visiting my site. Kung ako sa’yo, I will not declare na you will stay in your friends house. More of I will go there for vacation tapos 2-3 weeks. Do dummy hotel / hostel bookings too para yun ang ipapakita mo na proof of accommodation during your trip. Masyado din mahaba ang 2-3 weeks sa Jakarta kung dun lang, magtataka yung IO so gawa ka ng itinerary na kung saan pupunta ka sa Bromo, Ijen, Yogyakarta or Bandung for example.
Hi Sir Paulo, mag ta travel po sana kaming mag partner sa SG next year Aug. 2025. May ticket napo kami papuntang SG and hotel bookings fully paid. I’m employed and earning 6 digit per month. By the way, last 2016 nakapag tour napo ako sa HK with my family and sya naman nakapag tour na sa Japan way back 2014 pa po hindi pa kami magka kilala. Thank you in advance po sa help nyo.
Hi Joy, thanks for visiting my page. Pwede naman niya sabihin na businessman siya. Just bring and show the DTI registration when asked. No need to overcomplicate things. The simpler the better. Enjoy po sa Singapore! 🙂
